"She is also critical of the European Union policy towards Israel.[3]"
[edit]I would have loved to know in slightly more detail *what aspect* of the EU policy toward Israel she criticize. Unfortunately the source is in Russian... would anyone help ? Farialima (talk) 17:07, 22 January 2010 (UTC)

- immigrated to the USA " in 1977 and 1978, respectively, as a result of state pressure and KGB-style threats. " cool. You could emigrate to the USA because of "KGB-style threats" - I thought for one that the Soviet state did not want people to leave. KGB-style threats - what could they be? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.146.176.26 (talk) 10:29, 20 June 2011 (UTC)
The Soviet state did not want people to leave, that is true, but since the 1970s the Soviet regime preferred to press dissidents to emigrate - they had a choice between emigration and imprisonment. KGB-style threats have been described in detail by Sakharov -they were death threats by unidentified men and we know from some KGB veterans that KGB indeed used such harrassment tactics against dissidents (similar to FBI's COINTELPRO) Olegwiki (talk) 20:43, 9 July 2011 (UTC)
