Vandalised page.
[edit]The following text:
The station is a key transport hub, serving the Sheen area between Mortlake and Richmond stations on the South West Trains over-land rail service, and is the main stop-off point for commuters to the newly refurbished Richmond International Business Centre at Argyle House. It has also seen a boost in passenger numbers with the recent completion of the nearby spacious and much-admired 'Railway Cottages' development.
Until recently, the station was also a popular destination for art lovers, who would travel from far and wide to see the famous Angel of the North Sheen sculpture (an homage to the more famous Angel of the North) in the allotments adjacent to the platform. The sculpture was best viewed from an off-side window seat on the stopping service from Mortlake to Richmond, but unfortunately is no longer in situ. It is not clear whether the sculpture has been removed for good, or is merely on temporary loan to an affiliate gallery/allotment.
is all incorrect or comic exaggeration and has obviously been added as a 'joke'. Remove?
Removed.

The information in the above paragraph is entirely accurate. Why was it removed? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.156.31.12 (talk) 20:24, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
More Vandalisation
[edit]Article reverted. Latest nonsense was:
"The station serves the more exclusive western end of Richmond. Its name is somewhat misleading as it is a considerable distance from Sheen itself (which is served by Mortlake) and and only a short walk to Richmond station on the South West Trains over-land rail service." where "exclusive"=POV, "western"=error of fact (tho I cannot give a reference), "somewhat"=POV. "and and"=weird usage, "short walk"=POV+error of fact, and "over-land"=misleading as "Overland" now has specific meaning for London railways. The claim above "entirely accurate" may reveal something of its editor.--SilasW (talk) 10:23, 28 January 2008 (UTC)
