MLB rivalries

[edit]

All that they're putting is the interleague rivalries, they should also put in the innerleague rivalries that they removed, because they seem more evident and more exciting.

Harvard-McGill?

[edit]

The first intercollegiate football game was between Princeton and Rutgers, not Harvard and McGill. The oft-cited competing claim is the first rugby-style game, between Harvard and Yale, as opposed to the soccer-style game preferred at Princeton at the time.

tennis

[edit]

What about tennis rivalries? Sampras-Agassi, Federer-Nadal? Or is this not the place for those?

Bret Hart & Shawn Michaels

[edit]

Surely the real-life antipathy between professional wrestlers Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels should at least warrant a mention?

NFL rivalries

[edit]

Major overhaul of the NFL section. I added links to the seperate rivalry pages as well as edited the list quite a bit, as anyone who watches football knows Steelers-Titans isn't a rivalry.

College rivalries

[edit]

How can you talk about rivalries without talking about the Georgia-Florida rivalry. Its one of the most important and famous rivalries in college football and is watched by people from all over the country. Its The World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party for crying out loud! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.114.46.220 (talk) 06:52, 27 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Arena League?!??!

[edit]

are you kidding me. there are no rivalries in arena league because nobody cares. Why not add minor league baseball rivalries while we're at it?

Should this be renamed Lists of sports rivalries?

[edit]

This seems to consist of Lists of sports rivalries, should it be renamed to that? RJFJR (talk) 16:41, 23 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Definitely. It also has to be stripped of every entry that neither a) cites a source nor b) cites a separate article (with at least one reliable source) about the rivalry alleged. All entries that don't have at least one or the other are original research and in the volume that they are collected here would easily doom this article (list or not) to deletion if anyone takes it to WP:AFD. — SMcCandlish   Talk⇒ ʕ(Õلō  Contribs. 06:46, 28 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced material

[edit]

All unreferenced material, new or old, must be referenced! Jonathan McLeod (talk) 14:16, 29 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I agree, I have now placed a cite mark on every entries that is without a reference. If by the June 1st, nobody, including those who voted keep on the last AfD, can get off their backside to add reliable third party sources on why their entries are worth including and doing anything to stop unsourced entries from coming in, they will all be deleted, even if that means 90% of entries. Donnie Park (talk) 19:12, 15 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Considering the June 1 deadline is just a week away, I take nobody objected to the mass removal of entries considering nothing have been done to remedy this. After this date, I will remove all entries, so if anybody objects, don't go complaining. Donnie Park (talk) 14:02, 25 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

'==Williams F1 and Ferrari== Surely this rivalry should be on the page, their rivalry goes back to 1980. Should be on the page. Also I would think that Juan Pablo Montoya and Michael Schumacher have a rivalry. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Harold lewis (talkcontribs) 14:02, 6 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I would like to point out your entry that I have to revert: Octane magazine did not mention these rivalries you edited to appear that it was trying to imply - WHY - because I borrowed that issue from a friend, therefore I added the source in where it stated, not what you tried to imply.
If you can't be bothered to look for a reliable third party source, may I suggest you to go take a hike, after all guidelines are guidelines. Donnie Park (talk) 01:39, 8 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) Rivalries?

Mistake

[edit]

I was trying to add Slovakia-Czech Republic to the international hockey tab, but somehow got the other chart in there. Can someone who knows Wikipedia formatting fox it? Sorry :P — Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.51.215.172 (talk) 07:55, 12 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
