Recent unstability

[edit]

@Mirrored7: Please stop your disruptive edits. This is a featured list. Any deletion and drastic edit must be first discussed in the talk page and a consensus must be obtained. You have a history of warnings against you across several articles, and therefore your edits will be immediately rollbacked if you attempt to edit without consensus. Guinness World Records

[edit]

Why are Swift's Guinness Book records listed as "awards"? Records are records, they shouldn't be listed as prizes, this is wrong information. One reason is: when a record is broken, then is it no longer a "prize"? This is the opposite of being an award. Like the list of awards and nominations received by Madonna, her records are not listed. Instead, it has its own list: List of Madonna records and achievements. In this case, his records should not be counted as awards. I'm talking about the total number of awards and nominations, to which these records are included. Daniel Schröder (talk) 16:34, 23 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Read your own post. It literally has the answer to your question. ℛonherry 19:16, 26 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
But in case you can't figure it out, Swift does not have a "List of Taylor Swift records and achievements" article like Madonna. Therefore the Guinness records are listed here in this article. Please do the research; this was quite silly. And no, you do not get to decide what are awards and what are not. When a record is made, the record-maker receives a physical award with a certificate. Guinness does not take back the award as soon as another person breaks the record; the person still owns the award, but only the record is broken; that is why Wikipedia advices the use of daggers to indicate which records are broken and which are not. Katy Perry, Ariana Grande, Beyonce etc have their Guinness records listed in the Awards article, and all of them are featured lists. Madonna's article is a special case. Regards. "Pending" infobox parameter

[edit]

@Ronherry I'm a bit confused by this revert. |pending= is not supported by {{Infobox awards list}} – it has no effect on the article as presented to the reader, except to add it to the hidden Category:Pages using infobox awards list with unknown parameters. Is there something I'm missing? Thanks, Wham2001 (talk) 07:00, 18 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Since there's been no reply here in a week I've removed the parameter again, commenting it out this time in case keeping a record of the number of pending nominations in the wikitext is somehow helpful. Best, Wham2001 (talk) 17:02, 27 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Listicles

[edit]

This section reads like WP:INDISCRIMINATE to me. Probably Time and Rolling Stone are worth mentioning but items like "Barbara Walters' 10 Most Fascinating People", "The 500 Best Pop Songs", "The 100 Greatest Albums of All Time" don't necessarily belong here... ERROR

[edit]

There's an error on the awards and nominations section, specifically on the Nashville Songwriter Awards. Can it be fixed please. 197.184.182.40 (talk) 16:56, 19 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Awards totals error

Current total showing 760. Excluding Guinness World Records & listicles, i make her award totals around the 588 mark? Can anyone else confirm this before i amend it? Thankyou Koppite1 (talk) 11:11, 20 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
