Thriving tourism industry?

Does this really belong here?
[edit]"Emo, Ontario is often referenced in jokes comparing Emo, the town, to "Emo music and culture" . One joke asks whether the grass in Emo cuts itself."
Although I can't help but find it a bit humourous, the last line of this article doesn't sound very encyclopedic. Does it really belong in this article?--174.88.109.92 (talk) 00:27, 7 January 2010 (UTC)
- It's original research, so no.vıdıoman 03:39, 7 January 2010 (UTC)
- Agreed. I've removed it. --66.18.233.247 (talk) 05:16, 7 January 2010 (UTC)
Article content merge
[edit]Just notifying that I have merged relevant content from the Orphan article Emo Walleye Classic into this article. As this is the only article that linked to it, and it occurs in this town, this seemed the logical place to merge it. (Permalink here.)
The Emo Walleye Classic article had been tagged for Notability since April 2009, and after almost no changes since its creation, and a Google search that basically only turned up links back to the tournament homepage and it's Facebook and Twitter pages, not to reliable secondary sources, I'm not convinced of its notability. If this changes in the future and the tournament becomes significant enough to justify having its own page with substantial reliable secondary sources, then someone can go back to the redirect and spin-off a new article again. --jjron (talk) 16:50, 22 January 2011 (UTC)
Vandalism
[edit]There's been a spate of vandalism following the pride controversy, could we have editing permissions temporarily restricted? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Fairychristmas9504 (talk • contribs) 20:01, 10 December 2024 (UTC)
- There's a page at WP:RFPP (request for partial protection) for that. It's simple; you just need to add the name of the article, and a brief comment on what the problem is. signed, Willondon (talk) 20:14, 10 December 2024 (UTC)
