[edit]@ChessEric: Are you done with this? SMB99thx my edits 22:32, 19 November 2020 (UTC)
- @SMB99thx: I guess so. Most stuff is copy-paste, but I figured that the reason why this article was made was to bring down the amount of content on the main Hurricane Harvey page, which is why I did that. Why do you ask?ChessEric (talk · contribs) 22:50, 19 November 2020 (UTC)
- Because why you didn't publish it to mainspace then? SMB99thx my edits 23:08, 19 November 2020 (UTC)
- Since much of the article is copy-paste, I wanted some more input on what to shave off the main page before I did that. I kind of randomly stumbled on this article and added most of this myself, so I wanted to get some more input first.ChessEric (talk · contribs) 23:54, 19 November 2020 (UTC)
- @SMB99thx and ChessEric: I submitted the article to AfC for I like hurricanes, the creator, though you might like to put on the talk page the attribution from Hurricane Harvey. ~ Destroyeraa🌀 01:01, 20 November 2020 (UTC)

@ChessEric: you put in $41.122 billion. That’s extremely low, considering that that assumes that across the rest of the nation, it did ~$85 billion, which is blatantly false. I’ll put in the range. HurricaneTracker495 (talk) 23:24, 20 November 2020 (UTC)
- @HurricaneTracker495: Thanks. I didn't know what to do there.ChessEric (talk · contribs) 23:42, 20 November 2020 (UTC)
- @ChessEric: it failed miserably. I reverted it. Try to find a more reliable source, but I'm signing off for the night(even though it's only 6:49 PM). --HurricaneTracker495 (talk) 23:49, 20 November 2020 (UTC)
- @HurricaneTracker495: That's why it says greater than or equal to $41.122 billion. It is only temporary though until a more solid source is found.ChessEric (talk · contribs) 00:02, 21 November 2020 (UTC)
- That is inaccurate. We could say it is greater the or equal to $2 and we'd be correct. I'm serious-I'm not editing for the rest of the night. --HurricaneTracker495 (talk) 00:27, 21 November 2020 (UTC)
- @ChessEric: The Balence claims $125 billion in Texas. Y'know, it's possible the $125 bil on the main article isn't totally accurate either. --HurricaneTracker495 (talk) 16:24, 21 November 2020 (UTC)
- @HurricaneTracker495: The NCDC assessment is directly from NOAA, so I'm not willing to say that is inaccurate. Additionally, the damage estimate for the storm also came directly from NOAA as well.ChessEric (talk · contribs) 02:23, 22 November 2020 (UTC)
- @ChessEric: NOAA said only $41 billion in TX? --HurricaneTracker495 (talk) 02:25, 22 November 2020 (UTC)
- @HurricaneTracker495: From the collection of reports gathered thanks to the diligent work of Hurricanehink, that's where that estimate came from. However, I do acknowledge that it probably is a gross underestimate, but as far as I'm concerned, until someone finds a trustworthy source with a definite estimate, ≥$41.122 billion is the number I'm going with. I haven't found anything that talks specifically about definite damage values for Texas; just estimates, insured loss figures, etc. I don't believe that is enough to be approved. However, I'm not sure where to look either.ChessEric (talk · contribs) 02:34, 22 November 2020 (UTC)
- @ChessEric: yes but that's not accurate either. I'll put "around $125 billion". --HurricaneTracker495 (talk) 02:38, 22 November 2020 (UTC)

@HurricaneTracker495: But's that not accurate either. I'd tried to put in a range again.ChessEric (talk · contribs) 02:41, 22 November 2020 (UTC)
- Which is what I just did.ChessEric (talk · contribs) 02:43, 22 November 2020 (UTC)
