removed entry about jayme langford

[edit]

I've removed the following lines from notable residents: "Jayme Langford is an erotic model in California who is gaining much acclaim for her work. She has been featured in many major adult magazines." Here's why: 1. she's not notable. her self-made wikipedia entry is a candidate for deletion because of non-notability 2. she has been using wikipedia to advertise her own paid, commercial website and 3. her own page lists her as being from Providence, RI, and her entry in this page lists her from Cali. Which one is it?

Wikipedia is not a place for commercial adverts. Therefore I have removed it. 174.49.116.149 (talk) 01:11, 5 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

hey, not so fast 174.49.116.149

The Jayme Langford wiki article is only a candidate for deletion because you've posted a request to delete it. The matter's under debate. Second, there's no clear proof that her wiki page is self-created. According to the site's history, it was created by Epbr123, and she intervened only a month later. Third, she's notable: making the cover of Hustler and/or appearing in Penthouse is major validation in the world of nude models, and obviously her name is all over the web. Fourth, you can be born in Rhode Island, currenly live in Californis, but reside in Dixmont, Maine in between. The Hustler web-site lists Dixmont as her home-town. And finally, a town the size of Dixmont, Maine can only be proud that such a beautiful and relatively famous young woman calls it her hometown. To complete erase her wiki presence, which it seems is the agenda here, would be prudish, and hardly popular, especially in Dixmont. The town's history doesn't end with Abner Weed. I agree with you, however, that the entry should not advertise commercial web-sites. So as a compromise I've re-edited the paragraph to preserve her notable presence, but without the said references. She never lived there

[edit]

Her parents live there, but she never did. She did, however, live in Biddeford, ME - until she got expelled for drug use and dishonesty to the Dean of Students. Maybe her parents should be on the notable residents page?? 174.49.116.149 (talk) 04:57, 6 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This deletion verges on vandalism

[edit]

Hey - repeatedly deleting a paragraph because you have some personal animosity against the subject isn't in the Wiki spirit. There is no advertising of someone's website in this text. You're free to dislike this person, but trying to totally erase all references to her across various web-sites is too extreme. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Buskahegian (talkcontribs) 16:02, 15 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry to burst your bubble 174.....

[edit]

Jayme in fact did live in Dixmont. I went to Elementary school with her for at least 4 years at Etna-Dixmont before she graduated and went to Nokomis. I was a few grades behind her and she was my cousins best friend. Try getting your facts straight. As for her being on the Dixmont page...whatever doesnt bother me, its weird actually knowing someone whose made it somewhere...even if it is just the porn industry. I'd say she's definitely notable at least. —Preceding unsigned comment added by JustSayyying (talkcontribs) 19:26, 7 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
