Some proposed changes

[edit]

COI disclosure - I am related to the subject. Many details of this stub are incorrect, but as a COI I may not be best placed to edit.

Proposed edits:

1. "Sir Christopher George Nugee QC" is wrong as he ceased to be a QC on appointment to the High Court, and it is not the custom to use QC for High Court judges. It should be Sir Christopher George Nugee.

2. Christopher did not read jurisprudence at Corpus Christi College, but Classics (the diploma in law at City was therefore not "further" legal studies).

3. He is not a Justice of the Queen's Bench - this is another division to the Chancery Division. This should read "Judge of the High Court of England and Wales (Chancery Division)."

4. Cedric Thornberry - Christopher's father-in-law - did not use the title Professor. He was a (part-time) visiting professor at King's College London but that was very much an end of career thing. (There is a link to his entry which is pretty accurate I think)

5. John Nugee is no longer at State Street, but owns a consultancy called Laburnam Consulting.

6. Christopher was not born in Farlington but in London.

7. Ref [2] to Farlington goes to a 404 page not found

Done. #7 isn't something I can fix here and now. I've gotten the rest of them. The awkward thing with #2 is that it's sourced somewhere and likely reflects the source, so I can't just go and change it to your suggestion. I did, however, leave out the subject of his studies — it's a misrepresentation of the source to change the subject, but not mentioning it at all doesn't misrepresent the source. Spelling of name

[edit]

Should it be "Nugee" or "Nugée"? --Legis (talk - contribs) 12:55, 5 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Exactly what I was wondering- even if it is in fact the case that he and his brothers use different versions of their surname, some explanation would not be amiss simply because as it stands, the article introduces an unexplained- albeit fairly minor- confusing element. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.2.114.12 (talk) 16:18, 26 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Mother's name?

[edit]

What about including his mother's name? According to Nugee's father's Wiki entry she was Rachel Elizabeth Makower who had worked as a code breaker at Bletchley Park. Cassandra — Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.210.212.213 (talk) 14:53, 5 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
