Relation to Upsilon

I don't entirely understand, but is Chi_b (3P) a more excited state of the Upsilon meson? Chris857 (talk) 02:13, 23 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I don't understand it either I'm surprised their is not much activity here so I'll give it a go. They have a lot of similarities, including the same "parents" but as you say they have different states. ( I think chi b has an odd orbital angular momentum 1 whereas upsilon has an even angular momentum 0 or 2. --Polysophia (talk) 16:24, 23 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
