Hook Off & The Pillage 2

[edit]

These albums need more information. I can't find for the life of me if Hook Off is a mixtape or sidegroup project considering its' feature-heavy tracklist with 20 people on the cover, and P2 seems to be a MP3-only digital release with no physical hard copies (not to mention rushed and slept on with no Wu-Element production as promised in 2013). Fair use rationale for Image:Yin and yang.jpg

[edit]

Image:Yin and yang.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Cappadonna an offical Wu member?

[edit]

The rummor of him being an offical member keeps finding its way on this page, and it has only ONE source to back it up (I should mention that this isn't even a reliable source.) If Cappadonna was offically a member right before 8 Diagrams, don't you think he would at least be on the album's cover? If he were an official member, don't you think this would be mentioned on their official wbsite? Speaking of their offical website, on the bio section he's categorized in the "WU-TANG FAMILY SOLO ARTISTS" section. Take a look at his personal bio on Wu's offical website, it mentions that he made a comeback on 8 Diagrams, but there's no mention of him being an offical member.--76.17.200.34 (talk) 01:31, 7 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not exactly sure if Remix Magazine meets the criteria of a reliable source. A better source would be nice but Remix does have a page so that's a start. While Cappadonna is not on the cover of 8 Diagrams, he is not listed separately as a featured artist either even though he performs on it. It is possible that he is not on the cover to keep the reference to Eight-Diagram Pole Fighter or the artwork was already done when Cappadonna was re-made a member. He was on the back cover of The W (again not listed separately) and edited out of the cover of Iron Flag so it is possible that he is now a member. On Fishscale, he is on the song "9 Milli Bros" which is listed as "featuring Wu-Tang Clan"; again he is not listed separately. As far as the official website, the listing says "The Original 9", which includes ODB (he's not exactly a member anymore) so Cappadonna wouldn't be listed there. All the members are listed as solo artists as well. And it is possible that the site just hasn't been updated in a while. MrBlondNYC (talk) 08:04, 7 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
This claim should be removed until we can locate a reliable source to back the claim. Simple as that. JBsupreme (talk) 08:06, 7 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • If he was officially ommitted into the group right before 8 Diagrams, like this page claims he was, You would atleast think they would mention it on his bio page on their official website. That website is updated constantly, they update solo tour dates, affiliate news, solo releases, etc. - if he were an official member, they would have mentioned this on his bio page by now. Also, if he were an official member, don't you think they would at least be other mentions of this other than Remix Magazine (the ONLY source that you guys have to back this claim up with). You should keep in mind that Wikipedia is an online ENCYCLOPEDIA, not an online blog to post rummors. Unless we can get reliable, credible sources, this claim will be taken down.--76.17.200.34 (talk) 20:11, 7 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • I don't know who "you guys" are because I'm not the one who put the info up nor am I part of some underground society that is determined to do so. I'm just stating there is enough info based on his credits on their albums to suggest that Cappadonna is considered a member of the group. I agreed with you that a better source is needed. MrBlondNYC (talk) 22:05, 7 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • The statement; "you guys" was directed to the people who keep putting up Cappadonna as an official member, and was not in any way directed towards you, I apologize for the lack of clarity in my statement. Anyway, I agree that his presence on The W, Fishscale, 8 Diagrams, etc. are enough to cause deep speculation of him being an official member. However, The lack of mention of this on Wu-Tang's official website (as I mentioned earlier), the lack of mention of this in the Wu-Tang manual (although copy righted 2005), and the lack of mention of this anywhere else causes me some doubts. I personally don't have a problem with Cappadonna being labled an official Wu member on Wikipedia, I just think we should have more than one source backing this up, and that these sources should be reliable.--76.17.200.34 (talk) 22:27, 7 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • If you guys actually want to know why Capadonna ISN'T a member of the Wu Tang Clan, you might want to do a little searching into his connection to someone called "lord" Michael Caruso. 68.41.208.250 (talk) 11:44, 12 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Wu-Tang Killa Beez?

[edit]

His bio on the Wu-Tang website says he became an official member of the Wu-Tang Killa Beez in 1995. Should the Career section be updated to reflect that he's an official member of Wu-Tang? I'm not sure if the Killa Beez is a separate group or not. HtownCat (talk) 22:43, 8 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Killa Beez is an alternative name for Wu-Tang affiliates, yet sometimes Wu-Tang Clan is called Killa Beez too. Cappa has been a Wu-Tang Killa Beez member since 1995. There was rumors that Cappa had become a Wu-Tang member because he was on the cover of Wu-Tang Forever album and he was with the group all the time back then. He had a little beef with Clan in the 2001 (he got cut off the Iron Flag cover), but he still was Killa Beez member. RZA called his offical member in 2014 when they were releasing A Better Tomorrow album. That Wu-Tang site you referred to is not up-to-date and has a lot of misleading information, so I wouldn't consider it as a reliable source Tashi Talk to me 23:23, 5 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

According to the short description, his birth year is 1968. However, the background-information section lists the year as 1969. 2600:1700:B490:4830:8516:6270:A1C1:1EFC (talk) 10:02, 26 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
