As a TTS user this book is laden with so many silly names that it is unreadable. I don't know whether this is notable, but disability friendly writing styles tend to be prevalent these days. This was absurd words and names for the sake of absurd words and names. It's really reinforced with the "Our X are different." trope of calling aliens tooth tongues like calling zombies shamblers, walkers, biters, etc, as though somehow that makes it unique and quirky. The problem is all the attempts at quirky are what make it utterly unreadable for text to speech users. I usually try remapping silly names or words, but I found that I had spent the first hour constantly remapping words and there were more silly words coming. 121.210.33.50 (talk) 19:42, 8 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
