Ambiguities?
[edit]This might be too in the weeds, but it seems to me that there are at least two distinct meanings of 'acting' in the legal context.
- Temporary actings, who are serving in someone else's place; and
- Agents, who are acting – potentially on an indefinite basis – on behalf of someone else.
Should we address both in this article? At the moment, only the first meaning seems prominent. AleatoryPonderings (talk) 15:02, 22 July 2020 (UTC)
- Added the relevant hatnote; not sure if more might be required. AleatoryPonderings (talk) 15:15, 22 July 2020 (UTC)
- I think the hatnote is a fine resolution. The agency sense would never be found outside of a phrase indicating that the subject was acting on behalf of another. BD2412 T 15:17, 22 July 2020 (UTC)
"Interim" or "Interrex"?
[edit]At the section "See also" in the article, it is probably better to mention the term "Interrex" instead of "Interim". -- Hamid Hassani (talk) 20:00, 21 January 2023 (UTC)
