Schluersburg, Missouri

Schluersburg is an unincorporated hamlet in St. Charles County, in the U.S. state of Missouri.[1] It lies along Schluersburg Road, which was paved during the 1970s, about two miles west of Highway F.

In addition to several houses, there is a church of recent construction in Schluersburg, as well as an abandoned small store; there are no other businesses or services.

History

A post office was established at Schluersburg in 1862, and remained in operation until 1908.[2] According to tradition, the community took its name from a town of the same name in Germany.[3]
