Harlem Township is located in Winnebago County, Illinois. As of the 2010 census, its population was 40,158 and it contained 16,025 housing units.[4]

According to the 2010 census, the township has a total area of 33.38 square miles (86.5 km2), of which 32.79 square miles (84.9 km2) (or 98.23%) is land and 0.59 square miles (1.5 km2) (or 1.77%) is water.[4]
