Wikipedia:Requests for comment/User conduct

This process is for discussing specific users who have violated Wikipedia policies and guidelines. In order to request comments on a user's actions, follow the instructions to create a subpage in the section below. Disputes over the writing of articles, including disputes over how best to follow the NPOV policy, belong in Article content disputes.

Uncertified user RfCs

Requests for comment which do not meet the minimum requirements 48 hours after creation are considered "uncertified" and will be de-listed. See Wikipedia:Requests for comment#Request comment on users for the minimum requirements. The subject RFC page will also be deleted, unless the subject has explicitly requested it to be retained.

Closing and archiving

Disputes may be removed from this page and archived under any of the following circumstances:

1. If no additional complaints are registered for an extended period of time, and the dispute appears to have stopped.
2. The parties to the dispute agree.
3. The dispute proceeds to another method of dispute resolution, such as mediation or arbitration.

Remove the link from the list here and add it to the archives at Wikipedia:Requests for comment/User conduct/Archive. If the dispute is handled in mediation or arbitration, please make a note of where the dispute resolution process continued.

General user conduct

Discussions about user conduct should be listed in this section unless the complaint is specifically about the use of admin privileges or the choice of username. To list a user conduct dispute, please create a subpage using Wikipedia:Requests for comment/Example user as a template, and then list it as follows:

Allegations: RB972 writes this article on Jung Myung Seok, reverts all other edits despite reasons and verifiable evidence given, and on discussion pages, makes accusations of identity fraud. This person also has been sending threatening e-mails and messages to who he thinks are the editors. He also uses "hate" websites as reference to the article. 19:08, 20 February 2007 (UTC)

Use of administrator privileges

This section is only for discussions specifically related to the use of sysop rights by Wikipedia:Administrators. This includes the actions of protecting or unprotecting pages, deleting or undeleting pages, and blocking or unblocking users. If the dispute is over an admin's actions as an editor, it should be listed under the General user conduct section above. Wikipedia:Requests for comment/Jeffrey O. Gustafson

Allegations: {Abuse of Admin powers, disregarding other Admin comments, abusive language, re Ebony Anpu first AfD}

• Jeffrey ignores votes by 1, 2, 3 Wikipedia Editors with history, and 1, 2 Wikipedia Administrators in favor of 1, 2, anonymous editors with no edit history.
• Jeffrey re-opens AfD after it is closed by Adrian, reopened by anon-user and then reclosed by Admin, then leaves Comment that is inaccurate and misleading.
• Some of this was brought up in ANI and An Admin recommended that Jeffrey recuse himself from the AfD, which he has still refused to do. In addition he has been very rude with me (more diffs to come). This is a very complicated case, involving 2 AfD's, 1 article, 3 ANI's, 1 DRV, and several user talk pages. It is not my intention to waste anyone's time, but after careful analysis of Jeffrey O. Gustafson's edit history I have come to question him. I have quite a bit of data about this matter, but in an effort to keep things as simple as possible, this is all I will post for now. I would appreciate comment from others. Thanks. As with disputes over general user conduct, at least two people must certify that they believe there is a legitimate basis for the complaint. If the listing is not certified within 48 hours of listing, it will be deleted.

Allegations: Blocking me (as Powerrangerbuster) and other new user accounts for "trolling" after making only a few edits to Power ranger related articles. Recently promoted per a third RFA, which passed by a narrow margin with over 50 oppose votes. PRBuster2007 20:12, 21 February 2007 (UTC)

Trödel

Allegations: Trödel took personal offense at my request that he cite his sources for a statement he made, and subsequently forbid me from discussing anything with him, illegimately blocked me for a threat that I never made, and has been keeping a vulture-eye on my edit history even though he agreed not to in an ANI I previously filed seeking protection from him. 05:35, 25 January 2007 (UTC)
