Dylan Meier

Yeah believe it or not I am a huge fan of Big 12 college football. And one day I was on Youtube watching some games, and I came across a K-State game from 2003 with Dylan Meier as the quarterback. I thought he looked pretty good and noticed he didn't have a wiki page, so I thought I'd create one for all you Wildcat fans out there. Glad to hear you liked it. College coach infobox

Go look at the way Chris Cosh infobox is now with the <small></small> tags, the columns are off line. It looks better the other way. - 4.240.159.7 (talk) 20:02, 10 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

MSFT IE looks fine, but it is off in Mozilla Firefox. Try viewing it with Firefox. - 4.240.159.7 (talk) 20:06, 10 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
So, if looks fine in IE, but not Firefox, why not leave the small tags out so it looks fine in both? - 4.240.78.248 (talk) 23:26, 24 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I gotta agree with anon. Over 20% of internet users use Firefox and this change throws the infobox out of alignment for those millions of users. Why not leave it the way that renders correctly in both browsers?↔NMajdantalk 05:16, 25 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

KU/KSU

Good work on adding the gov. cup history, i'm wondering though if we should move it to Sunflower showdown and include the entire history and then just link to it from the gov. cup article? I'm willing to work on formatting it, just wanted to see your opinion. The complete series history already exists in that article (taken from the KU media guide), just commented out currently, problem is it's missing most of the dates/rankings/etc. Do you know if KSU provides a more detailed series history? Ryan2845 (talk) 19:09, 30 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I thought about putting it on the Sunflower showdown page. I really couldn't decide either way. The K-State official website pretty much sucks in general when it comes to getting information. If we do move it to the sunflower showdown page, we oughta include the entire series history, not just since 1969.Topgun530 (talk) 19:21, 30 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah full history is what i was meaning, the full history already exists on the page, just needs formatted properly. I guess we could just leave off all the dates/etc for the games prior to the start of the gov. cup. Maybe make it two sections, one for pre-gov. cup and one for post with all the stats you have on the gov. cup page. We could also create a new article similar to Kansas Jayhawks men's basketball seasons and use the "onlyinclude" tag to include just the gov cup info onto that page, and the full history onto the showdown page. Ryan2845 (talk) 19:34, 30 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, I really like the format of the Kansas Jayhawks men's basketball seasons page. That gets my vote. So much so, that I'd like to do that with K-State football.Topgun530 (talk) 19:41, 30 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Cool sounds good, i'll move what you already started on in the gov cup article to a new article later today probably, and start adding the older seasons. Ryan2845 (talk) 19:46, 30 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Okay. Go for it. I can continue to add more years after where ever you leave off.Topgun530 (talk) 19:52, 30 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Got it mostly done Kansas - Kansas State football all-time results, I also started working on a table for basketball about a month ago but never got around to finishing it: User:Ryan2845/kuksu. I think i'll make an article for it too, but there's a lot more games than football obviously, so feel free to help out on it if ya want ;-) Ryan2845 (talk) 02:13, 31 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Didn't take as long to clean up as I thought, here's the article Kansas - Kansas State basketball all-time results Ryan2845 (talk) 02:35, 31 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Sweet. That looks really good. I'd love to help out with the football one, but I do nearly all of my editing at work, so I won't be able to do a whole heck of a lot until next week. If you want to start on the football one, feel free. I can help out next week. Thanks for all your hard work. That page looks pretty good, excpet for all of those blue KU wins.Topgun530 (talk) 05:09, 31 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Ah you must have missed it in my earlier comment, the football one is mostly done too Kansas - Kansas State football all-time results Ryan2845 (talk) 05:41, 31 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Reverting Vandalism

When you revert vandalism try looking at the "History" tab first.

When you reverted the vandalism on the Darren Sproles article, you only did half the job.

Da savege (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · page moves · block user · block log) removed the "Reference" heading and reflist command tag. But you only looked at the text that he added and removed that. You did not revert what he took out.

TTU BBall Jerseys

Hey mate. I just made those in photoshop. You're more than welcome to just use mine and change the colors for KState if you like.--Elred (talk) 17:12, 6 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Baseball Page

Let me know if you need any help with the coloring. It looks like you go it worked out. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Sgautr6 (talkcontribs) 20:10, 8 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Tennessee

Thank you for your help with the 1985 Tennessee Volunteers season. I am still struggling with the template for the CFB schedule. Maple Leaf (talk) 20:33, 28 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks again! Your Kansas State University pages are really good. I appreciate that you are giving me direction. Maple Leaf (talk) 21:59, 28 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

KU/KSU Record

I'm going to undo your edit to the basketball series, because I feel that the KU media guides are correct. The KSU media guides are pretty bad about keeping track of the series, for instance the link you provided says KU has 173 wins, but last years (07-08) pre-season KSU media guide) also says 173 wins for KU, the 08-09 media guide STILL says 173 wins for KU. 176 should be the correct total if added up Ryan2845 (talk) 00:28, 3 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Didn't I already show you how the KSU media guide is incorrect? They didn't even update it after the 2008 season lol!! Not to mention the other numbers you are adding don't even make sense, it can't be 80-35 at both allen and bram, that doesn't add up to the series total. Not to mention you are saying that KU has won 4 in a row, did you forget the game in manhattan last year that KSU won? ;-) Ryan2845 (talk) 00:57, 3 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of 1965 Kansas State Wildcats football team

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article 1965 Kansas State Wildcats football team, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Does not seem to be a notable team/season

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Hi TopGun. My apologies for any grief I may have caused you regarding the navboxes. I have stopped doing them for now. I appreciate that you have made the corrections. Maple Leaf (talk) 18:47, 19 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

University of Tennessee basketball

I notice you moved the article for the 2008–09 Tennessee Volunteers basketball team to "2008–09 Tennessee Volunteers men's basketball team". Your rationale stated that the page needs to be specified for men's or women's basketball.

Actually, it didn't. The correct article title should be "2008–09 Tennessee Volunteers basketball team", without "men's" or "women's".

At the University of Tennessee, "Volunteers" refers SOLELY to men's athletics. Women's teams are known as "Lady Volunteers". See, for example, Tennessee Lady Volunteers basketball. The main article for the men's program, which is correctly located at Tennessee Volunteers basketball, clearly states the difference in men's and women's nicknames.

Note also that Tennessee and Texas are the only NCAA Division I schools that have completely separate athletic departments for men and women. In fact, Tennessee's men's and women's athletic departments have completely separate websites—utsports.com (men's) and utladyvols.com (women's).

Just wanted to enlighten you on the unusual situation regarding this school. — Dale Arnett (talk) 19:37, 28 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I noticed that you added divisions in this template. Do the teams in this navbox really need to be demarcated by division? There are no divisions for the Big 12 in baseball, the standings are just listed as the 10 teams in the conference that play baseball. Just thought I would ask before I got rid of the divisions in this box. Music+mas (talk) 17:40, 12 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Brandon Banks requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
