Mistaken Edits on My IP Address
I don't know who you are, or what you do here in terms of the organization of the site, but talk pages are for communication, so I figured that this would be the best place to contact you. I do not edit here. I haven't done so in years, and thus I use this website mainly as a repository of basic information, as millions of others likewise do. You sent me messages claiming that I vandalized an article on a Stephen King book that I had never heard of; either you were mistaken in the diagnosis of the anon's IP address(not impossible, as they consist entirely of various numbers and periods), or my IP address is being used without my knowledge, which is far less likely but potentially worrying. The messages had been blanked out, leaving only a short empty space, which may have been a sign of the former option, but regardless, I still felt it prudent to drop a message here and let you know what happened on my end.

- The vandalism was done in 2008, probably by someone else who used that IP address before you. Epbr123 (talk) 09:37, 29 June 2012 (UTC)
Followup RFC to WP:RFC/AAT now in community feedback phase
Hello. As a participant in Wikipedia:Requests for comment/Abortion article titles, you may wish to register an opinion on its followup RFC, Wikipedia:Requests for comment/Abortion advocacy movement coverage, which is now in its community feedback phase. Please note that WP:RFC/AAMC is not simply a repeat of WP:RFC/AAT, and is attempting to achieve better results by asking a more narrowly-focused, policy-based question of the community. Assumptions based on the previous RFC should be discarded before participation, particularly the assumption that Wikipedia has or inherently needs to have articles covering generalized perspective on each side of abortion advocacy, and that what we are trying to do is come up with labels for that. Thanks! —chaos5023 20:27, 24 October 2012 (UTC)
Hey. Way back in 2007 you created an article for a place in Suffolk (in the UK) called Alde. I'm sure you remember it well :-) I've just stumbled across it and am now awfully confused because, to be honest, I don't think the place exists. There's Aldeburgh and the River Alde but, as far as I know, no Alde village around here. The two sets of coords also don't match up! The coords lead to somewhere with no Alde and the OS grid ref goes somewhere else, again with no place called Alde.
I don't suppose you happen to have any clue about where the place is supposed to be do you? Or whether it might have been created way back when in error? Or after the river or something? Fwiw nothing other than some admin articles really links to it either - my suggestion would be to AfD or Speedy it - although I'm not entirely sure without checking whether it would be eligible for speedying. Thanks. Blue Square Thing (talk) 20:49, 24 January 2013 (UTC)
- Hi. I think the source I used was unreliable and actually referred to the River Alde. I've replaced the article with a disambiguation page. Epbr123 (talk) 22:46, 24 January 2013 (UTC)
- Ta - it could have been Alde Community Council actually - seems to be a meeting of 3 parish councils in the Sweffling area which fits with one of the locations. I'll see if I can find out if it's still actually occurring - the minutes are for one of the parishes - and might add it to the dab. Guess it goes down as one of those things!
