The Random Acts of Kindness Barnstar
For always cheerfully assisting others and in general being a great guy to have on the Wikipedia! Kylu
To Lar, for being a kind administrator, for taking the time to assist other editors, and for doing the little things that make others "time in Wikipedia super" (to quote User:ForestH2). -- Samirधर्म 02:31, 16 July 2006 (UTC)

The Civility Barnstar
Lar, I've wanted to give you this for multiple contributions throughout the project for some time, but this conversation is an excellent example. Your continued civility under trying circumstances is impressive. AnonEMouse(squeak) 13:47, 31 August 2006 (UTC)
The da Vinci Barnstar
Thank you for your assistance at WP:ANI and at WT:SRNC. It takes a bold move for someone to finally put their foot down at a user like SPUI in an effort to reach a consensus, keep editors from bailing out of Wikipedia, and to bring more civility and peace to this whole naming mess. Kudos and thank you for your service! Seicer (talk) (contribs) 19:35, 1 September 2006 (UTC)
The Defender of the Wiki Barnstar
As a supervising admin, Lar helped resolve one of the most contentious, mind-numbing, extensive disputes in Wikipedia history over the naming of state highways. For this commendable and exhausting work, he deserves the eternal gratitude and Wiki-love of every Wikipedian. Xoloz 16:52, 9 October 2006 (UTC)
One gateway to the wide garden
of knowledge, where lies
The deep rock of our past,
in which we must delve
the well of our future,
The clear water we must leave untainted
for those who come after us,
The fertile earth, in which
truth may grow in bright places,
tended by many hands,
And the broad fall of sunshine,
warming our first steps toward knowing
how much we do not know.
Boeing Crew Flight Test was the first crewed mission of the Boeing Starliner capsule. Launched on 5 June 2024, the mission flew a crew of two NASA astronauts, Barry E. Wilmore and Sunita Williams, from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station to the International Space Station. The mission was intended to last eight days, ending on 14 June with a landing in the American Southwest. However, the capsule's thrusters malfunctioned as Starliner approached the ISS. After more than two months of investigation, NASA decided it was too risky to return Wilmore and Williams to Earth aboard Starliner. Instead, the Boeing spacecraft returned uncrewed on 7 September 2024, and the astronauts will ride down on the SpaceX Crew-9 spacecraft in February 2025.
