The Great Father is an upcoming Indian Malayalam thriller film directed by Haneef Adeni. It is produced by Prithviraj Sukumaran, Arya, Santhosh Sivan, and Shaji Nadesan under the banner of August Cinema. It stars Mammootty and Sneha in the lead roles, which will mark the latter's comeback in Malayalam films after a hiatus of six years.

Production
On 19 August 2016, actor Mammootty shared the first look poster of the film through his Facebook profile. It is produced by Prithviraj Sukumaran, Arya, Santhosh Sivan, and Shaji Nadesan under the banner of August Cinema. South Indian actress, Sneha, who is making a comeback to Malayalam film after a gap of six years, was cast as the female lead opposite Mammootty. Directed by Haneef Adeni in his debut feature film, The Great Father is a family thriller. Sara Arjun was also cast in the film. On 4 September 2016, principal photography began in Wagamon, Kochi, with other shooting locations including Thrissur.[1][2] Producer-actor Arya also portrays a role, that of a villain, in the film.[3][4]
On 25 September 2016, Manikandan Achari was cast to portray a role in the film.[5]
The music is composed by Gopi Sunder.
