All changed

Though the film bore the same name as the long running radio series, just about everything was changed in it. Location, ship's name and duty, all actors except Leslie Phillips, though the originals were all available. Most names had to be changed too as in the radio series most actors used their real surnames. Ronald Shiner made a good dodgy CPO but skinny Gordon Jackson made a thin "fatty" Johnson. Hattie Jacques is in this for just 40 seconds and you wonder why? (178.236.117.122 (talk) 18:42, 18 December 2013 (UTC))[reply]
