Incorrect name.

It is Lee Minho. Not Lee Know. Bluebunny16 (talk) 20:36, 14 April 2018 (UTC)

His stage name is Lee Know - this is what he will be known as during his time in the group. Abdotorg (talk) 20:40, 14 April 2018 (UTC)

They wrote their stage names so it should be Lee Know Amathonsi (talk) 11:29, 20 January 2020 (UTC)

Music video directors

I've changed one of the 'Unknown" in the directors column of the music video section to make sure it's up to date, but I can't seem to get the 'unknown' template to work. When I click enter the code remains visible and doesn't apply the format to the cell. If anyone could try and do this and see if it works for them that'd be great. Finnybug (talk) 12:32, 28 August 2018 (UTC)

How come there aren't separate articles for their music videos? Usually music videos that are singles and did well have separate pages. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dramaqueen911816 (talkcontribs) 19:55, 10 March 2019 (UTC)

Incorrect Debut Date

I don’t want to sound like a know it all or rude but I do believe Stray Kids debuted on the 25 of March not the 26th. In their latest album I Am: You there is a song titled 0325 and when they were talking about the tracks on After School Club Chan(Bang Chan) had said that was their debut date and also the day of their debut showcase was on the 25th. Magically88 (talk) 06:17, 4 November 2018 (UTC)

That is correct. Stray Kids debuted March 25th! Cherrycrushcandy (talk) 07:58, 24 February 2019 (UTC)

3racha

there should be a section/mention of 3Racha in the text. Despite being composed of 3 of the members and the trio being credited as writing most of the discography, the only mention is in the associated acts section. AM Woody (talk) 23:45, 19 November 2018 (UTC)

Members' individual articles

I have noticed that @Jade.parker123: recently made separate articles for each member. I reverted the edit due to the following reasons:

  • Fails WP:NMUSIC. There is not enough notability to warrant separate pages. The members are not yet independently notable outside of Stray Kids. No notable solo career (solo album, TV series/film, etc).
  • No reliable sources given.
  • Guesting appearances on variety shows are not notable (per Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Korea/Popular culture/Archive 4), same with appearing in other artists' music videos.

I did not revert edits for Bang Chan as it was made earlier, but I think he is also not notable enough for separate article. Please feel free to comment for discussion. Thank you. Accireioj (talk) 06:14, 24 December 2018 (UTC)

Vandalism Issue

Sorry, I only update one section of their page so I'm unfamiliar with how this Talk page works. Please change "The group is composed of eight members" to "The group is composed of nine members" because Stray Kids' brand has always been nine or none, just because Woojin left doesn't mean he's not stray kid anymore... Clevanter (talk) 20:47, 28 October 2019 (UTC)

Member's roles

I cannot verify my account hence cannot edit so someone fix these up for me > the "dancer" role is missing from the member's position in the group and they should belong to Felix, Hyunjin, and Lee Know. Also, please be specific on each members' roles and not just broadly have vocalist, dancer, or rapper; add main, lead, or sub in front of them. There are other roles to consider adding in the members' profile: center, visual, and face of the group. Bacon333 (talk) 06:11, 10 July 2020 (UTC)10/7/2020

Remove the part statting "Originally a nine-piece group, member Woojin left Stray Kids due to undisclosed personal reasons in October 2019.", as affiliating Stray Kids with Woojin is now contreversial. Therefore, with the recent news, the case opened for Woojin's departure is seen a deeper than "undisclosed peronal reasons". Lazyjuju (talk) 14:19, 9 September 2020 (UTC)

Not done The group was originally nine members, and the reason given for his departure was as stated. Anything else that has since come to light his departure is irrelevant to the group and should not be in this article. Alex (talk) 15:30, 9 September 2020 (UTC)

Hello, as my previous edit request concerning Woojin has been denied, can I ask this time for his removal from the first paragraph of this Wikipedia page? It is not essential for the introduction of the group to mention him. They are now 8, 9 is in the past and should only be mentionned in the former members section. Woojin's departure is just one of the many things that happens to the group, it therefore hold no importance to put so much emphasis on it.

Section on 3RACHA as composer/producers

Hello, I'm new on wikipedia and I'm assigned to build out or expand an article on Wikipedia for class. I was wondering if it would be worth adding a section on 3RACHA as producers. Especially since they've gotten international recognition recently for producing for Show Lou. Perhaps the section could recite their past albums (referencing Genius.com for instance). 8isfate (talk) 18:45, 25 September 2020 (UTC)

I'd be careful using Genius.com - it is probably not a reliable source as it seems to be full of crowd-sourced information. Evaders99 (talk) 20:38, 25 September 2020 (UTC)

Years active, debut date

Information to be changed: start of years active != official debut year → change '2017' to '2018'

Explanation of issue: Hello, I understand why the 'years active' is from 2017-present, because Stray Kids indeed has been 'active' since 2017 if we take into account the survival show days. However, whenever people search for their debut date/year, Google displays '2017' instead of '2018', as it seems to automatically assume the debut date to be the start of 'years active'-- we know 2017 is not their official debut year; they were still considered JYP trainees up until I am Not album release. Stray Kids officially had their debut in 2018. It can be very confusing for people who search it up but don't know the group well. Arypalencia (talk) 07:19, 5 October 2020 (UTC)

@Arypalencia: I don’t think it's confusing at all. The parameter clearly states "years active", not "debut date". The parameter is for exactly that; how long they have been active. Their debut date and pre-debut activity is clearly mentioned within the article, and the lead. Alex (talk) 07:34, 5 October 2020 (UTC)

Popularity doesn't necessarily indicate whether or not a personality should have a standalone Wikipedia article. Generally speaking, we have the guidelines WP:GNG and WP:BANDMEMBER to guide editors in creating pages for members of boy bands. If you believe any of the eight remaining members of Stray Kids pass any criterions presented by the guidelines, you are free to start a draft about them and submit them for review. Based on past attempts on creating an article for them [that I have been a part of], it's still too early for any of them to have an article as most of their notability is still based around them being a member of Stray Kids, though you are still free to start making them as a draft that suggests otherwise. Should Lee Know and Bang Chan get a new article for themselves?

I have created drafts for Lee Know and Bang Chan that could use work but I think should published. I was also the one who made Felix's page which now averages 1000+ views per day, which proves that the members of Stray Kids themselves are notable enough outside of the group and I do not see why this would not prove the same with these two. Please reply with your thoughts. Redstar0005 talk to me! 15:23, 7 April 2024 (UTC)

@Paper9oll, thanks for the reply, but what is your opinion? Do you think, outside of references, that the two are notable enough? 🟥⭐ talk to me! 16:11, 7 April 2024 (UTC)
@Redstar0005 As stated above. No comments on "outside of references, that the two are notable enough" as this is non-relevant to notability on English Wikipedia. Paper9oll (🔔📝) 17:11, 7 April 2024 (UTC)

The image used in the thumbnail looks very artificial and I believe is AI. I would recommend taking a better look at the photo, especially at Changbin and Han as they look nothing like the idols they are meant to be. Thank you very much. YoonKeeho (talk) 22:09, 28 April 2024 (UTC)

What?? This is literally a screenshot from their promotion video. What does AI have to do with this? You can suggest other images that follows Wikipedia's image use policy Evaders99 (talk) 23:06, 28 April 2024 (UTC)
Um,I think it looks real..not AI. Idk... 75.172.111.134 (talk) 05:44, 5 May 2024 (UTC)

Hello, I'm currently in process of expanding Stray Kids Artistry section. This might take a lot of time, please watch out the in use / under construction templates to avoid the edit-conflict. My initial plan was to build the sub-sections "Musical style", "Songwriting and lyrical themes", and "Stage and performance" (because they received multiple daesang for performance). Since Stray Kids has hundreds of songs with different themes, I was wondering if I should include all... but for now I'll only focus on their title songs and just passing-mentioned of their other songs with similar theme (because the section would be too long to include all).

Everyone are welcomed to voice opinions and edit this section while the "in use" template is not up. You may edit if "under construction" template is up. And please tell me if I added anything unnecessary or if I misunderstood the purpose of this section. My English grammar, style, cohesion, tone and spelling are still lacking a lot so I also placed a template for copyediting. Thank you. Shenaall (talk) 06:54, 22 May 2024 (UTC)

Hello! I'd be happy to assist with copyediting. I will keep an eye out on this page and make changes as needed/as you see fit--please let me know if there are any sections in particular that you are expanding that need immediate attention! :) Archerblue (talk) 04:58, 30 May 2024 (UTC)
@Archerblue Hello, thank you for your reply. I have finished the section just now. Please help to review and copyedit the entire paragraph with more correct grammar, style, cohesion, tone, and spelling on the points that I have done poorly. Shenaall (talk) 03:57, 5 June 2024 (UTC)

Music sample for Musical style section

Hello, I want to upload music sample files for Stray Kids' musical style section and I need more opinions about that. What song do you think would describe Stray Kids' music the most?

I personally think it would be "God's Menu" but I'm not sure which part to upload (because per WP:SAMPLE it should not exceed 10% of the song [it means only max 16 seconds for "God's Menu"]). Please help me with your opinions, thank you! Shenaall (t c) 01:59, 12 July 2024 (UTC)

I suggest Changbin's intro part "esseo osipsio i gageneun cham menyuga goreugido swipjyo..."). PepeBonus (talk) 04:19, 12 July 2024 (UTC)
@PepeBonus Thank you for your response! I like your suggestion, Changbin's part in "God's Menu" is a strong intro to the mala taste genre. How about intro + "ne sonnim" + Changbin's full verse? It will took 19 second but I can trim the intro by 3 seconds so it will fit. Or last part where it is "Du du du du du du" + "Ige uri tang tang tang tang" + Changbin's "esseosipsio...", it also fit at around 15 seconds? What do you think? Shenaall (t c) 00:57, 15 July 2024 (UTC)
I like intro part! PepeBonus (talk) 05:08, 15 July 2024 (UTC)
@PepeBonus Added! Please let me know if the trimmed part need to be adjusted~ Thank you so much for your suggestion <3 Shenaall (t c) 07:36, 15 July 2024 (UTC)

Start date in timeline

I noticed the start date for the timeline section is defined as 07/21/2017... I can't find any significance of that date in Stray Kids history... it's several months prior to even the Stray Kids reality show starting.

I think we should modify the start date of the timeline to be either a) the air date of the final episode of the reality show (19 December 2017), when the final lineup of the group was established, or b) the date of their first official release as a finalized lineup, 8 January 2018, with Mixtape (Stray Kids EP).

Thoughts? RachelTensions (talk) 19:30, 12 September 2024 (UTC)

Between a) and b), I choose a), and another choice is the "Hellevator" MV release date, October 6, 2017. PepeBonus (talk) 04:46, 13 September 2024 (UTC)
I think July 21, 2017 is the date where JYP first announced that they will produce a new male idol debut project (On the reality show wiki article, it said "In late July 2017"). But if we want to change the date, I support "Hellevator" MV release date (October 6, 2017) since the song was officially included in Stray Kids discography. Shenaall (t c) 06:41, 13 September 2024 (UTC)
The problem with choosing the Hellevator release date is that it was before the final lineup was established and there was a short period in there where Lee Know and Felix weren't part of the group. RachelTensions (talk) 15:26, 13 September 2024 (UTC)

Update this article, showing the new album 'ATE" Stray Kids released and all the singles. Lee.eun-sook 1453 (talk) 14:51, 1 October 2024 (UTC)

Not done: as you have not requested a specific change in the form "Please replace XXX with YYY" or "Please add ZZZ between PPP and QQQ".
More importantly, you have not cited reliable sources to back up your request, without which no information should be added to, or changed in, any article. - Arjayay (talk) 20:39, 1 October 2024 (UTC)

Unnecessary non-free media use

I'm not sure the non-free media in Stray_Kids#Stage, performance and concept aesthetics (the Kingdom poster) really adds enough to the article to justify its inclusion as non-free media... it's kinda just a tiny blob with no distinguishable features, doesn't really tell me anything. Is there an alternative picture we could put in its place (preferably a free image?)

Pinging @Shenaall @PepeBonus @Baffle gab1978 for their thoughts as frequent editors of this article RachelTensions (talk) 19:22, 16 October 2024 (UTC)

How about screenshot of their performance on YouTube? Is it better since screenshot from YouTube is free use? Shenaall (t c) 01:22, 17 October 2024 (UTC)
@Shenaall Pertaining to "screenshot from YouTube is free use", this statement is not correct. You can only upload screenshot(s) captured from the YouTube video itself onto Commons if the YouTube is licensed under "Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 (CC BY)" as per Commons:Commons:YouTube files. Do also take note of Commons:Commons:License laundering. Paper9oll (🔔📝) 06:42, 17 October 2024 (UTC)
Oops, understood. Thank you for telling me! Shenaall (t c) 06:54, 17 October 2024 (UTC)
Hi @Paper9oll! It seems that the link you provided is not available(?) Do you have other guidelines? Thank you in advance! Shenaall (t c) 06:57, 17 October 2024 (UTC)
@Shenaall Fixed! Paper9oll (🔔📝) 07:00, 17 October 2024 (UTC)
I'd suggest perhaps a photo of the group performing, there may be freely available photos or videos out there that would work. It'd do a few things - it'd get rid of the less than useful non-free image currency there, and it would add visual depiction of the group performing.
Right now all the group images (other than the blob from Kingdom) are of the group standing in a lineup meeting fans, or on the sidewalk at the airport - none show them actually doing what they do. RachelTensions (talk) 00:19, 20 October 2024 (UTC)
