Official List of Dead and 34 Injured

I did not put the names of the 34 injured in the article but instead put it per external link which when opened, THE MOST important thing in the article may be seen by those who are so afraid that any of their loved ones might be there or part of 10 missing in the debris or buried.

--Is there an error in the article?--

This article says "11 million dead". Either that mall holds way more than I remember  :) or that's an error.

--Thank you!--

Thank you, whoever fixed the article. I was about to do it, went to other sites to substantiate the number, then got sidetracked.  :) (Ok, fine, I let myself get sidetracked...)

Anyway, someone beat me to it. Thanks again!

Terrorism or accident?

The article says nothing of it but it is being categorized under terrorism. __earth (Talk) 11:29, 20 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, I was just about to say that. From what's written it could easily be read as an accident. And if that's the case, the title shouldn't say 'bombing'...--Joewithajay 12:45, 20 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This should be moved to "2007 Glorietta explosion" until everything is sorted out. --Howard the Duck 13:14, 20 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Done. - Two hundred percent 19:25, 20 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Right now, there's news circulating that the Rajah Soliman movement's responsible though. No confirmation yet. Ominae 04:32, 21 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, we're not sure if they are part of a breakaway group of some "larger terrorist network", but sources say that the equipment that was used in the bomb was "military-grade". --Animeronin 05:10, 21 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Currently, indications that there are bombers that did this. Should we re-move? --Howard the Duck 07:10, 21 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I'll give it another day. I have a news report on The Star that mentions C4 was found in the explosion site (reported on paper only, no online article), but I'm waiting for more evidences. - Two hundred percent 10:13, 21 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

From what I garnered while watching the news earlier today, they're now thinking it was a diesel tank explosion. I say we shouldn't slap on "bombing" or anything terrorism-related until the authorities have confirmed it as an act of such. Shrumster 10:18, 22 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Exactly the reason why I changed the infobox from terrorist attack to news event. -- • Kurt Guirnela •Talk 10:43, 22 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
PNP bomb experts are leaning towards the diesel tank explosion, though investigation is still ongoing. Ominae 06:09, 23 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Even the experts from foreign countries seem to agree on that angle. Animeronin —Preceding comment was added at 03:43, 8 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

article title?

Do we really have to include "2007" in this article's title? It's like saying, there's another 2006, 2005, or 2004 etc. Glorietta Explosion. I mean, I know there were other incidents that happened in Glorietta (related to bombing/explosion), but do we have those articles here in Wikipedia that would disambiguate this article (by having a 2007 title in here) from those? If there is, I'm cool with this present title †Bloodpack† 15:48, 31 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Indictment

I added this, and it took so long for the case to move, until today: The Department of Justice's Task Force Glorietta on May 22, 2008, recommended the filing of criminal cases of "reckless imprudence resulting in homicide and multiple physical injuries" against 8 accused :Candelario Valdueza, project engineer of Makati Supermarket Corp. (MSC), Clifford Arriola, operations manager of Marchem Industrial Sales and Services Inc.; Joselito Buenaventura, Marchem supervisor; Charlie Nepomuceno, Jonathan Ibuna, and Juan Ricaport, all Marchem maintenance personnel; Engr. Ricardo Cruz, operations manager of Metalline Enterprises, and foreman Miguel Velasco Jr. The report however cleared the other suspects.GMA NEWS.TV, Engineer, 7 others face raps over Glorietta blast --Florentino floro (talk) 08:44, 22 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This has just been released this pm and explains the 51 pages ruling, that biogas and not bomb is cause while Ayala's were absolved. The 51-page resolution denied Ayala Land Inc. (ALI)'s bomb explosion theory and upheld. the police's biogas explosion evidence, but it absolved the Ayala mall owners, and Ayala Land engineers Marcelo Botanes, Jowell Velvez, and Arnel Gonzalez, for reasons: “It is uncontroverted that the Makati Supermarkt Building is owned by the Makati Supermarket Corporation (MSC) not by Ayala Land Inc. (ALI), which are separate and distinct entities; None of the equipment in the [supermarket] basement is owned, supplied, or designed by ALI.”Abs-Cbn Interactive, Why DOJ dismissed case vs. Ayala Land in Glorietta blast --Florentino floro (talk) 09:36, 22 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
