Setauket was a station stop along the Port Jefferson Branch of the Long Island Rail Road. A freight station was built around 1877 and used as a depot. Another depot was built around 1883 and razed on October 3, 1960 and discontinued as a stop around 1980. It was located between Stony Brook and Port Jefferson Stations at Gnarled Hollow Road.[1][2] Today, the site of the station is occupied by a flag manufacturing company.
