Malik Mumtaz Hussein Qadri (Urdu, Punjabi: ملک ممتاز حسین قادری) is an Elite Police Commando from Punjab, Pakistan. He was born on 1985[1] . He joined the police in 2002.[1] On 4 January 2011, following an argument regarding Pakistan's Blasphemy Law, he opened fire on and killed Salman Taseer, the Governor of Punjab, for whom he was working as a bodyguard appointed by the Elite Police in Punjab.[2]
