Democratic Left (Greek: Δημοκρατική Αριστερά - ΔΗΜ.ΑΡ., Dimokratiki Aristera - DIMAR) is a Greek democratic socialist political party.
It emerged, in June 2010, when the members of the moderate Renewal Wing (Greek: Ανανεωτική Πτέρυγα) platform left the Coalition of the Left of Movements and Ecology, or Synaspismos, at its 6th congress.
Principles
The fundamental principles of the Democratic Left are:[6]
- Democratic socialism
- Left wing europeanism
- Reformist strategy
- Environmental awareness

At a subsequent national conference of the Renewal Wing, 170 members were elected to national policy committee of the new party.[8]
