There is an ongoing pattern of deletion requests and delete AfD votes against Nortel competitors such as Cisco and keep votes for Avaya/Nortel product articles. This seems to be accomplished through a set of SPAs that may or may not be technically socks, but appear to be connected somehow in their common cause to erase Cisco and competitors and increase/maintain coverage of Nortel/Avaya. Specific diffs are not as enlightening as simply looking at the contribution history of the accounts and the AfDs involved.

- Prior SPI. Even if this turns out to be again only meatpuppetry, are we going to just do nothing about it? Gigs (talk) 21:27, 4 October 2012 (UTC)

editAccused parties may also comment/discuss in this section below. See Defending yourself against claims.
- See User:Gigs/Avaya_Pushers for a complete list of related accounts. Not all of these are meatpuppets, some are just SPAs, and at least one or two appears to be a normal editor, only listed because of membership in Nortel Wikiproject. Gigs (talk) 17:21, 10 October 2012 (UTC)

edit- SpudMcCoy and Wemdann are Unrelated. Based on that fact, Checkuser Declined to run the suspected master due to lack of evidence. Everyone else is Stale. No comment with respect to IP address(es). -- DQ (ʞlɐʇ) 17:14, 5 October 2012 (UTC)
- Clerk note: We could try and play meatpuppet whack a mole. Protecting the articles in question seems difficult due to the scope. NativeForeigner Talk 02:51, 8 October 2012 (UTC)
Based on behavioural evidence, I see no grounds for action at present. Bigtex 1 and Machismo500 are behaviourally stale. Wemdann has made very few edits. The remaining two, named accounts may have appeared to be editing with a common agenda at some point, but their current edits are not related so far as I can see. I recommend you open another investigation, based on these two accounts only, if their editing interests converge (again). For tenuous connections, we are interested only in current activity that is indicative of socking. Marking for archival (without prejudice to a new investigation on these accounts, should new evidence come to light), AGK [•] 22:39, 15 October 2012 (UTC)
