JimSmith123 is the creator of the article Canadian Association for Equality (CAFE), and has a long history of editing that article, including edits that removed information which might construed as reflecting poorly on the organization (Example: Diff 1 (see bottom)).

So, too does user VanessaSmith766, who (like JimSmith123) appears to be a largely single-purpose account dedicated to the articles on the Canadian Association for Equality and its founder Justin Trottier. VanessaSmith766 has a long history of removing well-cited information from these articles without explaining why. (Examples: Diff 2], Diff 3, Diff 4 - those are just some examples, there are many others). Note that both users have focused on removing the same/similar sections of the article on CAFE.

Since both users appear to be (more or less) single-purpose accounts dealing with the articles on CAFE and Trottier, I have long suspected that they were the same user but did not have enough evidence to post here until today. I am now, however, certain that they must be the same person, primarily because of this revision on the talk page for Justin Trottier - note that JimSmith123 responded to a comment that had been directed at VanessaSmith766, as if they were VanessaSmith766, taking part in an ongoing discussion. They then quickly removed the post. Within minutes of that happening, VanessaSmith766 made a series of sweeping revisions to both the article about Trottier and the article about CAFE (Diff 1 - on Trottier, Diff 2, on CAFE), which once again removed all the same information which both JimSmith123 and VanessaSmith766 have been consistently trying to keep out of these articles all along.

This seems to me to be clear evidence that these two accounts belong to the same user - they appear to have the same goals in editing these articles, are active at the same time, and JimSmith123 replied to a comment as VanessaSmith766 accidentally.

The fact that both accounts are being used to edit the same articles (one of which JimSmith123 created) looks to me like a clear violation of WP:ILLEGIT and WP:SCRUTINY, if not of other rules. Fyddlestix (talk) 00:31, 29 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
