Evidence submitted by Mr. Matté
edit
  • From their contribution pages (WL, LDM) both generally edit the same types of articles (such as Alvin and the Chipmunk pages and game show pages) and often use the same edit summary (such as "Unsourced," "Irrelevant," and small but angry tirades)
  • On Youtube, there is a similarly-named account "TVLubber" that exhibits similar behavior to WikiLubber. TVLubber was given the nickname "Lub-Dub" in this video: (near the bottom of the page)
  • Gets touchy about being found out that he may be the same person as LDM or in the YT account. ([1], [2])

Evidence submitted by SuperHamster
edit
  • Viewing WikiLubber's and 65.33.87.236's contribution pages (located here and here, respectively), 65.33.87.236 has been editing the same articles in the same style that WikiLubber tends to edit in, which is typically reverting other user's edits. They both also tend to not leave edit summaries when editing, and when they do, they are in the same style, which in this case is commenting on the spelling of another editor.
  • WikiLubber was blocked on January 17 for using a sockpuppet. The next day, January 18, 65.33.87.236 started editing articles, which suggests WikiLubber is evading a block using this IP address.

Evidence submitted by Sottolacqua
edit

Both IP users are making edits to pages only edited by User:WikiLubber previously. Additionally, IP users are making similar/identical edits as WikiLubber, as in the following examples:

User:WikiLubber is currently blocked due to similar edit warring using a separate account (User:Lub-Dub-Man).

If you want to block my IP again, please do, but this time, do what you should have done the last time: Block me for as long as my WikiLubber account is blocked. 65.33.87.236 (talk) 12:15, 3 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Same user
  1. Both edit Family Guy articles, specifically, both have edited article A Fish out of Water (Family Guy): [3], followed by [4]
  2. Edit after IP at Don't Make Me Over (Family Guy): [5] followed by [6]
  3. Both remove wikilinking, with zero explanation as to why: compare IP edit [7], with [8]
Violation use of sock to engage in disruptive editing
  1. See block log of account = block log for WikiLubber, includes prior blocks for this same type of socking behavior pattern

Evidence of similar abuse (including edit warring, mass copyvios, wikistalking) on the talk pages (including targeting of identical pages) and particularly in an ANI where WikiLubber was confirmed to be a sockmaster on 26 September 2010[[12]]; requesting checkuser in regards to a pending LTA case on MegastarLV.

Suspected sockpuppets

Disruptive editing of game show articles (Family Feud, 1, 2, 3); editing Alvin and the Chipmunks-related articles (Alvin and the Chipmunks (film), Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel, Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked, etc.). See also Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/WikiLubber/Archive, Blocklog for "DawgDeputy" . AldezD (talk) 05:38, 25 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

1. & 2. Behaviour characteristic of the sockmaster:

3. Additional explanation:

  • DawgDeputy is the user with the most edits on Alvin and the Chipmunks (film) (statistics) and Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel (statistics), and is the user with the second-most edits on Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked (statistics). Since August 2015, 71.172.150.69 has been a frequent editor of these three articles.
  • Both DawgDeputy and the IP user are frequent editors of game show-related articles and use similar edit summaries when reverting others' edits ("unneeded"/"not needed", "unsourced", etc.)
  • The odds that both an IP user and another registered user are heavy editors of two completely unrelated subjects (game shows and Alvin and the Chipmunks) means that it is more than coincidental and that these two users are likely the same person.
  • There are six sockpuppet investigations against WikiLubber, of which DawgDeputy and two other registered users have been confirmed. However, there are also five other IP users named in those various investigations, suggesting this user will continue the behavior in the future even if 71.172.150.69 specifically is blocked.

  •   Additional information needed - In order to facilitate and expedite your request, please provide diffs to support your case. Please give two or more diffs meeting the following format:
  1. At least one diff is from the sockmaster (or an account already blocked as a confirmed sockpuppet of the sockmaster), showing the behaviour characteristic of the sockmaster.
  2. At least one diff per suspected sockpuppet, showing the suspected sockpuppet emulating the behaviour of the sockmaster given in the first diff.
  3. In situations where it is not immediately obvious from the diffs what the characteristic behaviour is, a short explanation must be provided. Around one sentence is enough for this. Vanjagenije (talk) 09:25, 26 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Began editing only one day after IP sock 71.172.150.69 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) of sockmaster DawgDeputy (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) was blocked for a month. Thirteen of 19 edits are reversions. Five are on Alvin and the Chipmunks-related articles (1,2,3,4,5), which are heavily edited by DawgDeputy and the recent IP sock. Four other edits are game show articles, which are also heavily edited by sockmaster. Bulk of edit summaries are WP:BATTLE attitude (“As if we need it.”, “As if this is really necessary.”, “WHY?!”, “Completely unnecessary here.”), which matches battle attitude edit summaries of sockmaster and related puppets.

The odds that both an IP user and another registered user are heavy editors of two completely unrelated subjects (game shows and Alvin and the Chipmunks) means that it is more than coincidental and that these two users are likely the same person.

See also Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/DawgDeputy/Archive and related cases. Can a range block be applied to this editor? The editor has engaged in consistent WP:DE through edit warring and sockpuppetry with multiple IP and registered accounts as far back as 2009. AldezD (talk) 16:30, 29 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Abusing multiple accounts. User:ACMEDeputy has strong account name resembling earlier sockpuppets and edits similarly to articles with no related topics between them. For example, both ACMEDeputy and DawgDeputy are heavy editors of articles both related to game shows (e.g., to Supermarket Sweep1, 2; to Jeopardy!1, 2) and to the non-similar topic of Alvin and the Chipmunks (e.g., to Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked1, 2). See DawgDeputy (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) for editing history to compare with userlinks above for ACMEDeputy.

Only edits by IP user 107.19.189.35 are to User talk:ACMEDeputy‎ and include profanity following my warning about adding unsourced content (1, 2, 3).

User:AldezD2 was created today and made one edit to Let's Make a Deal (Diff) prior to my submission to WP:AIV for WP:DG. ACMEDeputy and DawgDeputy have both edited Let's Make a Deal in the past (1, 2, among others).

See also Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/DawgDeputy/Archive and Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/ACMEWikiNet/Archive (ACMEWikiNet was username for ACMEDeputy prior to change in March 2007—[19]) for long-term pattern of sockpuppetry, disruptive editing/edit warring and subsequent blocking.
