- Supporting evidence: Let me first begin by saying that I took no part in any of FF190's RfAs (4 and 5 are the ones involved) or the SSP discussion, and that I hope that someone who was will please fill in any gaps I may have unintentionally left. The consensus at SSP is that a checkuser is necessary. I will summarize the SSP, as that contains most of the evidence. Titaniumviper (hereafter Tv) was created three minutes after FF190's fourth RfA was NOTNOW'd on July 23. That day, he made 15 edits of varying usefulness (from this Colbert line to this lovely BLP violation). Tv then stopped editing (disregarding another Kucinich attack on the 25th) until August 4, when he supported FF190's 5th RfA. He was immediately called out as a sock on the RfA by Darkspots and Wisdom89. Tv hasn't made an edit since. Darkspots later filed the SSP. Discussion there noted that the users had very similar userpages. There was a clear consensus to file at RCU and, if a connection is found, remove FF190's rollback. 216 was later added into the SSP after it made a similar Kucinich attack. 216 has been blocked three times for vandalism (including the same Colbert line). FF190 has commented on the SSP and says he is not related to Tv or 216. As I said before, I did not participate in any of the discussions, and I apologize if I have missed details or have made a mistake in this filing. To me, the conclusion is forgone, almost the point it being a DUCK. However, as Ironholds put it on the SSP, it is the job of Checkuser to confirm what is currently a suspected sockpuppet. - I think Paragon12321 summarized everything very well. I immediately suspected the socking on FF190's 5th RfA because Tv supported three minutes after transclusion, an account with few edits, all fitting FF190's profile. One more small piece of evidence: FF190 [1] and Tv [2] both edited the same sentence of Mike Huckabee in July, the only sentence either edited of the article that month. Confirmed that Titaniumviper is Footballfan190. Blocked as a blatant breach of the sockpuppet policy. Also confirmed that Footballfan190 is 216.93.231.149 and, as both vandalism and abusive sockpuppetry are incompatible with the idea of a trusted user, the rollback right has been removed. - Would a block of Footballfan190 also be appropriate? Enigma message 17:02, 5 August 2008 (UTC)
- FF190 was blocked for one month after an AN/I discussion for sockpuppetry and BLP violations. Paragon12321 (talk) 00:24, 6 August 2008 (UTC)
