final (30/1/0) ending 09:36 15 August 2005 (UTC) RHaworth (talk · contribs) - Anyone who has ever done any editing of British geography articles knows Roger’s work. He has been a wikipedian since New Year’s Day, and has made 5600 edits in that time. Many of them are marked as minor, admittedly, but that is because Roger’s work has included many instances of adding maps and such to geography articles. He also has contributed much to Wikspace, as can be seen from the edit counts above. A diligent worker, who has also done a considerable amount of work in spotting copyvios and moving pages to more appropriate names. As such, I feel that the admin tools would be useful to him. He’s also proved more than willing to adapt or amend his work to fit ongoing projects, rather than being bullish about it (a skill I wish I was better at!). I think he’d make a fine admin. -- Grutness...wha? 09:36, 8 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

  28. Supoort. I haven't seen a lot of this editors work, but a quick review of the contribs list shows no reason why adminship for this edior shouldn't be "no big deal." The signatures already in this list confirm this is a great editor we can expect great work from. -- Essjay · Talk 03:38, August 13, 2005 (UTC)

Questions for the candidate
A few generic questions to provide guidance for voters:

Map sources for Requests for adminship/RHaworth at grid reference NY606063
1. What sysop chores, if any, would you anticipate helping with? (Please read the page about administrators and the administrators' reading list.)
A. I take a new pages feed. I mainly seem to spot duplicate posted articles, copyvio's and pseudoscience. With Admin rights I will be able to do a bit more, getting rid of patent nonsense and copyvio's after their quarantine period. But mainly I want Admin rights to be able to unwind ill-judged article moves (usually my own!).
2. Of your articles or contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
A. Union Bridge got featured on Did You Know. List of postal districts in the United Kingdom was created following the Wikipedia:Deletion policy/Postal district discussion which I started. (But people are still creating postal district stubs such as DA18!) But my most important contrib (in my opinion) is not actually on the Wiki servers (yet): the "map sources" link below the map on the right is to my "yellow redirector" which enables GB articles to use grid references as input to Egil's map sources pages.
3. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
A. Can't think of any (remind me). I am always willing to discuss my edits.
