HOPAU is short for History of the Paralympic movement in Australia and is a GLAM project organised by Paralympics Australia and the National Sport Information Centre in partnership with Wikimedia Australia. The project's primary page is on Outreach Wiki at History of the Paralympic Movement in Australia.
Objective
editOur objective is to support the development of comprehensive coverage on Wikipedia, of Australian paralympians, coaches and administrators, and Australians at the Paralympic Games. So far, we have ensured there are stub articles (basic starts) for all of these. You can browse the work so far at:

Elsewhere
editCommons
editThe Australian Paralympic Committee has released images under a Creative Commons licensed and donated them for use on Commons. These images can be found at Category:Images from the Australian Paralympic Committee on Commons. The donated images help to illustrate articles about individual athletes and Australia at the games, and to help illustrate Paralympic sport in general. These images are now being used on several projects including English Wikipedia, German Wikipedia and Dutch Wikipedia.
Wikinews
editInformation on writing Australian Paralympic related articles on Wikinews can be found at Wikinews:History of the Paralympic Movement in Australia. These articles get fed to Google News. Being an accredited reporter on Wikinews helps Wikimedia gain access to disability related sport events around the country.
Wikiversity
editMuch of the initial planning, research, and related learning materials for this project can be found on Wikiversity. This includes copies of the tender, project participation and goals, past and future research data such as statistics and analysis, and links to related educational programs.
