OriginalThe Baptism of Christ (1848–50), Piero della Francesca; a sublime picture and one of the gems of the National Gallery. According to our article, "It portrays Christ being baptised by John, his head surmounted by a dove representing the Holy Spirit. Christ, John's hand, the bird and the bowl form an axis which divides the painting in two symmetrical parts. A second division is created by the tree on the left, which instead divides it according to the golden ratio." So there you go.

Eh. This is a painting where the painter have calculated everything, even the smallest details to that they should fit the according to the golden ratio. It is a masterpiece of the very first divison. Hafspajen (talk) 21:39, 8 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
