WVRMad (talk · contribs · count) Hi, I'm WVRMad and I'm pretty new to Wikipedia. I'd like to know how other users think I'm doing and hear and suggestions and improvements. WVRMADTalk Guestbook 09:14, 2 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Reviews

I think you're off to a great start! I'm pleased to see good usage of edit summaries. And am impressed at your level of maturity for your age. Some things I can suggest for improvement is to gain experience in more diverse areas of Wikipedia. For instance, performing cleanup and maintenance tasks on random articles (not just railway-related) will give you a better sense of just how vast and complex Wikipedia really is. Also, reading about policies and guidelines is a given, but an often overlooked source of valuable information is the various Wikipedia essays, as well as User essays for wisdom and guidance from experienced Wikipedians. Keep it up. Regards, œ 21:59, 13 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Questions

  1. What are your primary contributions to Wikipedia? Are there any about which you are particularly pleased? Why?
I am mainly interested in railways, I am proud of my contributions to the article on the Wye Valley Railway as I have expanded it quite substantially. I also make Route diagram templates.
  2. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
I have been in one minor dispute over the the Template:Wye Valley Railway but I helped resolve it on Talk:Wye Valley Railway. I think I am quite good at handling arguments.
