About Palataka (book) - is "The Runaway" one of Tagore's short stories?

edit

Hi Wikifulness,
While looking for English language citations for Palataka (book) as "The Runaway", it would appear to me that the work of that title in English was one of Tagore's short stories collected as "The Runaway and other stories"and not that of poetry. I also note that Atithi (1965 film) includes the assertion "a 1965 Bengali film based on a short story by Rabindranath Tagore".
What should be changed? What should be accepted? Your opinion about all this?
Pete AU aka --Shirt58 (talk) 10:14, 9 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

Palataka is Tagore’s poetry book. Palataka is also his short story. Thanks Wikifulness (talk) 10:24, 9 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

Ok... I will try to make infoboxes. Thanks Wikifulness (talk) 12:23, 9 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

Tito sir, I am a new Wikipedian. I am trying to learn it..... I have seen many wiki articles without infoboxes. So give me the permission to create article without infoboxes now. Thanks. Wikifulness (talk) 12:55, 9 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

  • Infobox is a minor thing of course. Of course templates or infobox adds value, but I don't worry much about it. There are several formatting things as well. My concern is not having sufficient infomation in and article, or to some extent. referencing. One thing you can try is to expand existing articles as well. --Titodutta (talk) 15:04, 10 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
  • And you don't need to create infobox, you can use the code, mostly you will need Template:Infobox book, or Template:Infobox poem. To know more about infoboxes, this help page should be helpful Help:Infobox. Also note, a ==References== is generally immediately followed by {{Reflist}} or <references />. --Titodutta (talk) 15:15, 10 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

Dwijendranath Tagore

edit

Hallo, Thank you for your work on this article but:

  • Please don't undo other people's corrections. I fixed the dates in the lead sentence to standard WP:MOS style, and then did the same today.
  • Please use "Preview" to check your edits, so that you can make a group of changes together, rather than fill other people's watchlist with a flood of individual edits by saving every little bit separately.
  • Please use edit summaries to clarify your changes.
  • Wikipedia doesn't use subjective terms like "prominent".
  • (And I'm still puzzled by boxometry).

Thanks. PamD 04:53, 18 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

Ok. It (boxometry); Book in Bengali "Baksamiti";) is written in different websites and books. Thanks. Wikifulness (talk) 05:19, 18 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

  • I have found an explanation of "Boxometry" and added it to the article. But please take note of the other points I made above, about using Preview and edit summaries: since you replied here above you have made a vast number of edits to the article, with no edit summaries. It is also helpful if you edit just a specific section rather than the whole article, because then the section heading appears as an edit summary even if you don't bother to give a more detailed one, so it helps other editors to see what you're doing. Thanks. PamD 07:01, 18 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
And another 15 edits since I last looked - 3 of them to specific sections, thanks, but the other 12 with no clue for anyone else wanting to see what you're doing. Please use Preview, please use edit summaries. Your editing is on the verge of being disruptive. PamD 08:19, 18 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

For a fast editing, I didn't write summaries. I will follow your command next time. Thanks. Wikifulness (talk) 08:34, 18 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
