Help with reverts

edit

Yup, you have correctly reverted Fresno Pacific University to last version by User:Cryptic. As for User:Broadiemac's edit, I have sent him/her a warning message. As for when an editor may be blocked, it usually depends on the severity of the vandalism and the administrator's decision. However, in general, the editor will be warned in increasingly "stern" warnings (see Wikipedia:Vandalism). After test4, the editor will be blocked. Happy edits! --Hurricane111 23:06, 6 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

As for "how" to block a particular editor... only administrator can block an editor. If a particular editor is vandalising and warned to test4 level, you can report the incident to WP:AIV - where administrators can deal with the vandal. --Hurricane111 23:10, 6 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Logos on images

edit

Hi, Waarmstr. I'm not aware of an official policy against it, but according to number 6 on this checklist, "crop the image to highlight the relevant subject" (unless the photographer says otherwise). But if it's only a small logo that doesn't detract from the subject of the image, it shouldn't be a big deal. Just make sure to fill out the image description page. :) Hope this helps! Regards, Sango123 (e) 21:05, 13 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Categories

edit

I fixed it here by adding |Philadelphia before the closing ]]. It's now ordered by the specified P in Philadelphia rather than the default C in Churches. Regards, Sango123 (e) 01:46, 16 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hi Waarmstr. I've made Category:Churches in New York City a subcategory of Category:Churches in New York, so feel free to replace the latter with the more specific category you created on any page that needs the change. Regards, Sango123 (e) 21:37, 30 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Requests for translation

edit

While you may find someone on this edition of Wikipedia willing to translate articles into French, I'd suggest asking on the French edition instead, or possibly at m:Meta:Babylon. Warofdreams talk 17:54, 17 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Philly meetup

edit

Hi, Waarmstr! You expressed interest in attending the Philadelphia Wikipedia meetup on 14 October. Unfortunately or fortunately, that has been rescheduled for 4 November, so as to avoid some awkward scheduling and to garner increased interest. If you could again edit Wikipedia:Meetup/Philadelphia 2 to reflect the likelihood of your coming, that would be excellent. Thanks! --CComMack (t•c) 16:31, 6 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

St. George's United Methodist Church

edit

Hi, the recent edit you made to St. George's United Methodist Church has been reverted, as it appears to be unconstructive. Use the sandbox for testing; if you believe the edit was constructive, ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing. Thanks – Gurch 01:36, 1 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

If you really object to the current name, use the {{moveto}} template on the talk page and go through the process. --evrik (talk) 01:26, 3 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
Let me try and clarify one more time. I thought I was editing a page in my user space. I had created a [draft page] in my user space. I did not realize that someone had already moved it to the main name space and placed a [redirect] on my user page. I thought I was removing the content on the page in my user space. I wasn't trying to delete the page! I will not be requesting a "move to"! Evrik, Was this the page you mentioned to me in the park that needed to be moved to the main space, or was there another page you were referring to? Waarmstr 14:02, 4 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hey there. Since the Church of the Nazarene is divided into educational regions (each associated with a college that has agreed not to actively recruit outside that region) and each region is divided into districts, you could contact the Philly District for a list of churches Philly district is bigger than just the city, but will include it. At Eastern Nazarene College, we have booklets with lists of churches and their contact information, et cetera, for each district on our region. Check this out: [1], and you can contact the district via the info. on this page: [2]. Good hunting! Aepoutre 14:20, 23 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

AfD nomination of List of churches in Philadelphia

edit

List of churches in Philadelphia, an article you created, has been nominated for deletion. We appreciate your contributions. However, an editor does not feel that List of churches in Philadelphia satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in the nomination space (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and the Wikipedia deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of churches in Philadelphia and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
