Disambiguation link notification for June 7
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Naïve (album), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Industrial (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Looking for a guideline for album "Reception" section.
You look busy, so I'll keep it short... Do you know if there is an official guideline for the Reception section for album articles? Ebonyskye (talk) 07:31, 12 June 2014 (UTC)
- I don't think there's anything super official, but the best place to go is probably WikiProject Albums. They have an album article style guideline, and you'd want to check the critical reception section of that. Cheers. —Torchiest talkedits 12:27, 12 June 2014 (UTC)

WikiCup 2014 June newsletter
After an extremely close race, Round 3 is over. 244 points secured a place in Round 4, which is comparable to previous years- 321 was required in 2013, while 243 points were needed in 2012. Pool C's Godot13 (submissions) was the round's highest scorer, mostly due to a 32 featured pictures, including both scans and photographs. Also from Pool C, Casliber (submissions) finished second overall, claiming three featured articles, including the high-importance Grus (constellation). Third place was Pool B's , whose contributions included featured articles Russian battleship Poltava (1894) and Russian battleship Peresvet. Pool C saw the highest number of participants advance, with six out of eight making it to the next round.
The round saw this year's first featured portal, with Sven Manguard (submissions) taking Portal:Literature to featured status. The round also saw the first good topic points, thanks to 12george1 (submissions) and the 2013 Atlantic hurricane season. This means that all content types have been claimed this year. Other contributions of note this round include a featured topic on Maya Angelou's autobiographies from Figureskatingfan (submissions), a good article on the noted Czech footballer Tomáš Rosický from Cloudz679 (submissions) and a now-featured video game screenshot, freely released due to the efforts of Sven Manguard (submissions).
The judges would like to remind participants to update submission pages promptly. This means that content can be checked, and allows those following the competition (including those participating) to keep track of scores effectively. This round has seen discussion about various aspects of the WikiCup's rules and procedures. Those interested in the competition can be assured that formal discussions about how next year's competition will work will be opened shortly, and all are welcome to voice their views then. If you are concerned that your nomination—whether it is at good article candidates, a featured process, or anywhere else—will not receive the necessary reviews, please list it on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews. If you want to help out with the WikiCup, please do your bit to help keep down the review backlogs! Questions are welcome on Wikipedia talk:WikiCup, and the judges are reachable on their talk pages or by email. Good luck! If you wish to start or stop receiving this newsletter, please feel free to add or remove yourself from Wikipedia:WikiCup/Newsletter/Send. HighBeam
Hey! :) Earlier today, Thibbs asked me to help him with something he is writing about refmining, and I was thinking about all the different projects I have done over the years, and I was thinking about how you helped me source a bunch of stuff using HighBeam – and I noticed just now that you reapplied for renewal. :) I haven't applied for it myself just yet, because I have so many other sources that I am mining and they keep me pretty busy! I'm sure you have some ideas in mind about what you want to use it for, but at the same time would you be interested in picking up where we left off? BOZ (talk) 15:17, 29 July 2014 (UTC)
- Sure thing. Don't know how fast I'll go on it, but it definitely helped me get my "money's" worth last time. ;) —Torchiest talkedits 11:54, 30 July 2014 (UTC)
- Hah, wonderful! I will probably have to recheck the searches I did previously, because I had noticed that things change on HighBeam over time, and possibly new sources have been added, but that's no big deal. We spent most of the last time on video games and managed to finish with those (although I could always recheck later), so now it would be time to focus on bios. :) Let me know when you are ready, and no rush of course. Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Statewide opinion polling for the United States presidential election, 2016 may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "[]"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

GOCE July barnstar table error
Thanks again for doing the GOCE July drive barnstars table. DThomsen8 didn't get their rollover words, though (I corrected the table and barnstar). Do you do the table by hand (if so, my condolences :-)) or use a script? All the best, Miniapolis 22:41, 4 August 2014 (UTC)
- Hey there. Thanks for the note. I use a script, because I got very tired of doing it by hand after the first few times. ;) I went back and checked to see what happened, and my script hiccuped on DThomsen's rollover total because there were some brackets in the wrong place in the raw wiki text. I'll add that to my list of possible problems when running it. Cheers. —Torchiest talkedits 13:16, 5 August 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks very much, and I'm delighted to hear that you use a script :-). All the best, Miniapolis 20:02, 5 August 2014 (UTC)
