re: unjust 2 day Blocking
Dear TNXMan,
You recently blocked my account accusing me of abusing multiple accounts. and sighting someone called glovepupet. I have not got or had multiple accounts and do not know anyone called glovepupet and feel you accusations total unjust. When I was blocked I was limited to editing my Talk page and wrote you a message there which you failed to reply to highlighting the frivolousness of you actions- you also did not respond to my unblock request. Furthermore, when I issued a Unblock request it was successful but I was told by the admisistrator that they way you had blocked me was unpreventable. May I remind you that it is WP policy to assume good faith - WP:AGF. In addition It might be more civil if you contacted someone before you blocked them and gave them a chance to defend themselves. Also I think you should have long hard think about whether you are abusing your position in your indiscriminate blocking of me.

Dear TNXMan,
I take it that by your lack of response you are admitting you were wrong to block me. It might have been more 'civil' if you had offered me an apology for you actions.

Semi Protection for Telugu Language Article
Hello User talk:Malaikaran, is making disruptive edits to Telugu Language article. Please take action against that user and also can you put semi-protection on Telugu Language article? Nagarjuna198 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 03:34, 6 July 2011 (UTC).

Premiere Stages
So apparently you've been reverting the article for the NJ professional theatre company Premiere Stages down, and just banned someone who pointed out that it's a legitimate and notable company, and all information was sourced. I started that page when I was a Kean student, and I was wondering what the problem is. I'll try to assist in fixing, but I can't see anything wrong with the page as it was. Edmundogg (talk) 22:51, 7 July 2011 (UTC)
- I haven't banned anyone. You may be referring to Ponyo, who blocked Cdrobot because their username did not meet our username policy. As for the article, Premiere Stages, the material added was reverted because it was advertising. Material like "makes Premiere an excellent incubator for new theatrical talent in New Jersey." and "an ongoing project that explores issues of human rights, social justice, and sustainability" is not permitted in a neutrally written encyclopedia. I would also suggest that anyone editing that article review our guide to reliable sourcing. Primary sources, such as Kean University, are generally not permitted. Wikipedia relies on independent, third-party sources. TNXMan 22:58, 7 July 2011 (UTC)
- Coolcool. Misunderstood the ban. I'll take those suggestions into consideration and see what I can do to help the page. Edmundogg (talk) 23:12, 7 July 2011 (UTC)

- I don't see much indicating that it is a proxy, aka no open ports at all. (I think that was what it was when I scanned, i'll double check later) Is there CU evidence behind this or is it just from what you see? -- DQ (t) (e) 22:31, 9 July 2011 (UTC)
- The WHOIS says it's a hosting provider (advancedcolocation.com), which could indicate that many people are sharing it and could edit Wikipedia through a bash shell. So not a proxy technically, at least not an open one. —Soap— 22:38, 9 July 2011 (UTC)
- @DQ- I saw what you and Soap saw (hosting provider) and based on the random people using the IP, I believe it's being used to as an anonymization service. Their site here seems to support this, as it looks like it allows someone to mask their editing by using Advanced Colocation's servers. If there's something I'm missing though, definitely let me know. TNXMan 22:50, 9 July 2011 (UTC)

URGENT OUTING
This user has outed me on wikipedia, mentioning my real life name. Please block the account for a longer period and remove the edits which mention my name.[1] This is beyond the pale and somebody should have noticed this. Thanks, Mathsci (talk) 14:53, 12 July 2011 (UTC)
- I've hidden the revision in question, but you should contact the Oversight team just in case. For future reference, an all caps header will generally draw attention, even if it's unwanted- a quiet email may better serve your purposes. I hesitate to block the IP for a longer period, as it was only used today and the user behind the IP has probably already jumped elsewhere. If more problems occur, please let me know. Would you mind looking at the revision history for WP:AIV (or my recent contributions, they are a series of reports) and seeing if a rangeblock is possible? If you could take a look at the recent history of my talkpage, there's a vandal who's evading autoblocks; could you check to see if a rangeblock is feasible? I intercepted WCGSBoyIsStillAlive (talk · contribs) on the account creation queue as well. Acroterion (talk) 15:53, 13 July 2011 (UTC)

Question... and help!
Hi,
First off I want to apologize for the immature kids that use this as a vandalism party. This IP is connected to 3 Las Vegas and Henderson casinos and the computers are stationed in the lunch room so people on break can use at their will. I've caught these young adults many times vandalizing wiki, and tried my best to put a stop to it, but as you can see it doesn't work. What I have a question for you about is maybe you can help me unblock a screenname that I PERSONALLY used but it got block indefinitely by the checkusers and admins. the screenname is "Those Kids". This was my personal screenname and of all the acct's on my this IP it may have been the only honest and true one. If you have the time, could you personally check out the screenname and check all the edits so you know that it was a true account and wasn't used for vandalism. I tried doing this a while back but another admin was very rude and didn't help me at all. I focus usually on music related items and sometimes pro wrestling, and was hoping in the future to be a helpful checkuser or admin. Any help is greatly appreciated, you can leave me a note on the ip talk page or here, i'll get back to looking at it. Thank you! 50.36.43.70 (talk) 19:11, 17 July 2011 (UTC)
I have been accused of being involved
Dear Tnxman, I have been accused of being involved in a Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Paulioetc. In trying to understand what that actual accusation was? and why my name was mentioned? I think, I have uncovered a relationship with the accuser and I person that repeatedly removed my entries that were clearly cited. I believe that these two individuals targeted me because of my difference of opinion and my willingness to enter conflicting information on bias pages. My entries on these pages have and always will be clearly referenced and cited. Please let me know how I can have these two individuals investigated for making this false claim. In reviewing the paulioetc case, they only mention my contribution on the talk discussion page. would like to know how someone can be investigated and blocked based upon the discussion page! I would also like to know how can be band on discussion page on the suockpuppet when now contacted me in reference to this matters. I have asked Wee Curry Monster on his talk page but he deletes them, without reply to these accusations. I do not think this is fair. I have had problems on these bias pages before with Nick Cooper, I find it very strange that Nick Cooper and Wee Curry monster have a long history on a lot of these types of pages.Jacob805 19:52, 17 July 2011 (UTC)

User:Crouch, Swale
Hi, I recently noticed that a lot of articles on villages in Devon had been deleted and appeared this was because they were created by Crouch, Swale's sockpuppets. My concern is that the articles I saw deleted should not be deleted by Wikipedia policy or if there was a dispute over it, a deletion request should be held. Purely deleting valid articles for the sake of a stance on a sockpuppeter is decreasing Wikipedia's content in this case. Ringmore and South Milton are a couple of examples. Jolly Ω Janner 02:21, 23 July 2011 (UTC)
- I have no desire to allow a banned user get away with creating content. If they realize their contributions won't stick, they're less likely to come back. However, if another user wants to recreate the articles (provided they're properly sourced, etc.), that's no problem. TNXMan 13:11, 23 July 2011 (UTC)
- Okay, but did you check that other users had not made contributions to the articles before deleting them? I can understand if the contributions were solely Crouch's, but if other users have made contributions that is unfair on them. Jolly Ω Janner 14:23, 23 July 2011 (UTC)

This Entire Sockpuppet Debarcle
Hello there, firstly allow me to introduce myself.
I'm Daniel Miller, who completed his sociology course at Durham University, after leaving Clitheroe Royal Grammar School. I have a relatively decent knowledge of wikis, being involved in several (not including wikipedia).
During my 2nd Year at the university, we were tasked with understanding people's motives behind vandalism and what benefit they feel it would bring. Me, being inventive from the rest, thought of vandalism here on wikipedia. This, at the time, led me this sockpuppet group known as Campo*hoyle (the filter prevents me from writing the name, therefore I will refer to the accounts as simply Hoyle), as they seemed to taunt Mangojuice here. I then proceeded to write my report, mainly involving the 'criminals' wanting to annoy others.
Afterwards, I continued to follow these by checking on Hoyle every month or so to see if anything had happened. This led to JohnCD coming in to prominence, with him doing the majority of the blocking, tagging and reporting. However, this excessive obsession with Hoyle has made me very suspicious. As he has described in the past (namely in the Sockpuppetry Investigations), it is a Hoyle trait to report accounts to get them banned for their own amusement, which is precisely what JohnCD has done himself. Now I'm not a wikipedia expert but on here it seems to be known as 'Good Hand Bad Hand' accounts, which JohnCD could potentially be involved in. I'm not saying that JohnCD is the definite culprit behind Hoyle, but I think personally it would be appropriate to look into this.
Thankyou for your time, and I hope you take my thoughts into consideration.

Page Deletion
As someone just beginning to make Wiki entries for "authors" with published works and their bios I need to know how to complete this without having you delete every entry I make. So far I've made two attempts and you've erased both prior to their completion. I don't even get to complete filling in information and you've already begun deletion, which then I'm uncertain how to navigate your deletion process.
Is it your job to make Wikipedia impossible to navigate or to help out?
Can you let me know what works for you since somehow I've dropped into your well of discontent - can you be removed and a new administrator be added. Isn't this arbitrary and volunteer on your part?
Do you help people or just delete delete delete?
Thanks in advance. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Joel Michael Cohen (talk • contribs) 20:24, 25 July 2011 (UTC)

Range block needed?
If you could take a look at the message left at here. It would appear a long term SPA-like IP coming from two narrow IP extensions. Would a range block be advisable at this level for a prolonged interval, or should I just page protect the two articles and call it a day for now. I have never performed a range block and don't really want to accidentally block the East main coast if at all possible :-). Any advice is welcomed. Kindly Calmer Waters 20:56, 25 July 2011 (UTC)
- It looks like these are very narrow ranges. One is 72.171.0.128/27 (32 users) and the other is 677.142.130.0/26 (64 users), both well below acceptable limits. I'm a little surprised, as their available IP pool, according to robtex, is much larger. I hope this helps. TNXMan 21:01, 25 July 2011 (UTC)
- So better to just protect the pages. I tried to pull the ranges up on WhoIS and rDNS and both wouldn't return any data? Calmer Waters 21:09, 25 July 2011 (UTC)
- I'm not sure why that is. I use this site to do my lookups. It hiccups every now and again, but it's pretty reliable. TNXMan 21:54, 25 July 2011 (UTC)
- Thank you for tip. I'll try to get up to date on the finer points of calculating ranges and such. I found the email for the service provider and informed them. I'm not sure that will have any effect, but if the IPs are traceable to certain static company computers or such, maybe the individual might be warned to knock it off. I know at my place of work, they track such things pretty efficiently. Take care. Calmer Waters 22:13, 25 July 2011 (UTC)

Tnxman, I need you to look at this, if you have a moment. Thanks! Drmies (talk) 01:19, 27 July 2011 (UTC)
- Handled. Thank you for catching that. TNXMan 01:39, 27 July 2011 (UTC)
Spam socks
Hey, I noticed you blocked a small sockfarm of spam usernames. I blocked 45 of them earlier today. --Bsadowski1 18:00, 27 July 2011 (UTC)
- Is that what that was? I wondered what they were up to... TNXMan 18:12, 27 July 2011 (UTC)
Veritaphobia
Why do you think it needed to be deleted? It was not G12 or G2.
You are allowed to show links to web pages in wiki to validate claims.

Asking a person if they are frightened of the truth is not an attack, otherwise humanity is at risk of loosing its freedom of expression. Being denied the ability to question someones attitude or beliefs is abhorrent!!!
I meant no offense and i am sorry if you portrayed it as such, but being so prone to feeling hurt over such a question, at least in my opinion, is hindering your ability to communicate with the rest of humanity properly, and certainly to an insufficient level of understanding and tolerance for you to be on wikipedia.
Thank you very much for making my day more interesting. I will not be involving myself further with your little world, well i suppose it takes your mind of the $14.5 trillion of dept your government and bankers have allowed.
Cheers mate and Goodbye.

Page Deletion
Hello,
I was wondering why you deleted the page for Get It Done App? I do not see a difference between the page I posted and the following:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Remember_The_Milk
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OmniFocus
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Things_(application)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ThinkingRock
And there probably many others like this.
I look forward to your feedback, thanks,
Mike — Preceding unsigned comment added by Marcucio (talk • contribs) 16:27, 29 July 2011 (UTC)
- I'm sorry, but the article you posted did not indicate why it was notable enough to warrant inclusion. Please review our guide to writing your first article, as that may assist you. You may want to create a sandbox where you can work on developing a draft before moving to the main article space. TNXMan 16:39, 29 July 2011 (UTC)
Thanks for the feedback, I will start in the sandbox and add sources to back up the information. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Marcucio (talk • contribs) 16:41, 29 July 2011 (UTC)
Hellenologophobia
Hi, I have declined your PROD on Hellenologophobia 'cause I think 28000 Google hits are to much for 'not notable'. The article should be transwikied to wiktionary instead.--Ben Ben (talk) 16:56, 29 July 2011 (UTC)

Hey. It seems that the master there is still active, so what's the connection between the two confirmed accounts and the master? — HelloAnnyong (say whaaat?!) 23:04, 29 July 2011 (UTC)
- I've commented there. Thanks for keeping me on track! TNXMan 00:35, 30 July 2011 (UTC)

“ | When you are attacked by a troll, remember that their choice of insult says more about them than about you, and it's an opportunity for compassion. They just told you what hurts them, and obliquely what probably has, in the past. Harper Lee put it well in To Kill a Mockingbird: "...it's never an insult to be called what somebody thinks is a bad name. It just shows you how poor that person is, it doesn't hurt you..." My only quibble is this: while it might indeed hurt, it does no harm. | ” |

This is not an advertisement. This is a new product that has been developed under our company (WWI Green Corp). We will be adding our company soon as well. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Adler234 (talk • contribs) 18:01, 1 August 2011 (UTC)
- Please read our information on advertising and why it is not permitted. Wikipedia does not exist to promote your company. You may also want to read about sharing accounts and why that is not permitted either. TNXMan 18:04, 1 August 2011 (UTC)
Hey. Can you comment on the connection of either group to Bayanarski (talk · contribs)? — HelloAnnyong (say whaaat?!) 01:11, 2 August 2011 (UTC)
- Got Avi to look into this already today and I took it as Unrelated. Directly quoting "None that is immediately apparent; then again Bayanarski was duckblocked; technical evidence is lacking". -- DQ (t) (e) 01:25, 2 August 2011 (UTC)
Hello Tnxman307,
you tagged this image as a copyvio, but gave no reason why, no URL, nothing. So WHY do you think it's a copyvio? Please answer at commons:User talk:Rosenzweig. Regards --Rosenzweig (talk) 17:04, 2 August 2011 (UTC)
- The same for commons:File:NAMM2-1.jpg, please. --Rosenzweig (talk) 16:10, 3 August 2011 (UTC)
