Adam Cote
editA tag has been placed on Adam Cote, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as articles for deletion. If you can indicate how Adam Cote is different from the previously posted material, or if you can indicate why this article should not be deleted, I advise you to place the template {{hangon}} underneath the other template on the article, and also put a note on Talk:Adam Cote saying why this article should stay. An admin should check for such edits before deleting the article. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 4 under General criteria. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. We welcome your help in trying to improve Wikipedia, and we request you to follow these instructions. —C.Fred (talk) 21:16, 22 August 2007 (UTC)
Kieran Lalor
editHello there. I am going to revert your good faith edit to Kieran Lalor for three reasons. First, the statement is not promoting a candidate. Second, it demonstrates Lalor's big mouth, and his lousy attitude about other elected officials (and others running for the seat), he hasn't just bashed Hall, but also Sue Kelly, the former Rep. Third, since it is not specifically promoting him, it does not violate any other WP policies. Instead of deleting it, you can try and improve upon it to help explain how Lalor's controversial statements have garnered him media attention. MrPrada 21:07, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
Deletions
editI've noticed that you have been deleting material based on your opinions. For example, "Scientologists hate Christianity" and "pope says no man on man action fo catholics". Please rely on verifiable information rather than personal opinions. ·:· Will Beback ·:· 20:43, 3 September 2007 (UTC)
September 2007
editWelcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. You may not know that Wikipedia has a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Using different styles throughout the encyclopedia, as you did to Steve Fossett, makes it harder to read. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Please keep in mind the topic of the article. Avoid adding trivial items or facts which will not be of interest to readers looking for information about the topic. —EncMstr 17:27, 6 September 2007 (UTC)
Theresa Lamebull Walker
editPlease explain your edits to the Theresa Lamebull Walker article. Note the census matches are 'unequivocal'...that means the identity is certain, as established by other factors including names of relatives (father, mother, location, etc).Ryoung122 14:46, 27 September 2007 (UTC)
AfD Nomination: Ohio's 5th congressional district special election, 2007
editHello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, but all Wikipedia articles must meet our criteria for inclusion (see What Wikipedia is not and Deletion policy). Since it does not seem that Ohio's 5th congressional district special election, 2007 meets these criteria, an editor has started a discussion about whether this article should be kept or deleted.
Your opinion on whether this article meets the inclusion criteria is welcome. Please contribute to the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Ohio's 5th congressional district special election, 2007. Don't forget to add four tildes (~~~~) at the end of each of your comments to sign them.
Discussions such as these usually last five days. In the meantime, you are free to edit the content of the article. Please do not remove the "articles for deletion" template (the box at the top). When the discussion has concluded, a neutral third party will consider all comments and decide whether or not to delete the article. -- Jreferee t/c 16:51, 5 October 2007 (UTC)
AfD nomination of California's 4th congressional district election, 2008
editCalifornia's 4th congressional district election, 2008, an article you created, has been nominated for deletion. We appreciate your contributions. However, an editor does not feel that California's 4th congressional district election, 2008 satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in the nomination space (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and the Wikipedia deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/California's 4th congressional district election, 2008 and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of California's 4th congressional district election, 2008 during the discussion but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. -- Jreferee t/c 16:58, 5 October 2007 (UTC)
Bush's Mexican Truck plan
editIf many news sources had addressed the topic and addressed it as "Bush's Mexican Truck plan", you might have been able to generate a Wikipedia article on the topic. It was reliable source information, it just did not merit an article all by itself. Since it is reliable source information, there should be a place for it somewhere in Wikipedia's existing articles. The links from the deleted article were [1], [2], and Trans-Texas Corridor. Try searching the various terms withing the news articles within Wikipedia to locate the most likely article for the information and then add the information there. -- Jreferee t/c 03:46, 7 October 2007 (UTC)
Adam Cote
editThere is enough reliable source material for an Adam Cote article; you just need to created it in a way that others will see that it is sourced. Your Adam Cote article was speedy deleted because you recreated material already deleted at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Adam Cote. Please recreate a draft article in your userspace using footnoted material. Then, post a request at WP:DRV asking that the article be restored and that your draft article be used as the material for that restored article. The material for the draft article should be footnoted and be derived only from the following sources:

David Ashe
editThe prior article was deleted per Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/David Ashe. The David Ashe article you posted AFTER the Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/David Ashe discussion was deleted because, like the Adam Cote situation, you cannot recreate a delete article without posting a request at WP:DRV. See WP:CSD#G4. -- Jreferee t/c 04:32, 7 October 2007 (UTC)
The Generals Revolt
editI speedy deleted The Generals Revolt because it was a very short article with little or no context for the statements made. It was more of a news event rather than an encyclopedic topic. You might be able to add the information to existing Wikipedia articles, but there really was not enought relaible source material to justify a separate Wikipedia article. -- Jreferee t/c 04:34, 7 October 2007 (UTC)
AfD nomination of Phil Forgit
editI have nominated Phil Forgit, an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Phil Forgit. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Speedy deletion of Max Yashirin
editA tag has been placed on Max Yashirin requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Excirial (Talk,Contribs) 19:36, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
- FYI, after expanding the Max Yashirin article extensively I have nominated it for WP:DYK with the hook, "...that the Nebraska Republican Party hijacked Max Yashinin's namesake domain name and posted controversial photos there after he'd announced his candidacy for Democratic candidate for Nebraska's 1st congressional district?" Good start on this one. • Freechild'sup? 02:13, 7 May 2008 (UTC)
Hello. Why have you removed several people from this category despite the fact that their articles state that they are activists who are opposed to the Iraq War?
If there is a good reason why you removed the category from those articles, using the edit summary would help remove any confusion. Thank you. — Malik Shabazz (talk · contribs) 21:25, 7 May 2008 (UTC)
- Please stop removing from this category people whose biographies state that they are activisits who are opposed to the Iraq War. — Malik Shabazz (talk · contribs) 16:13, 8 May 2008 (UTC)
- Please stop removing from this category people whose biographies state that they satisfy the ridiculous criteria described in the category's page. — Malik Shabazz (talk · contribs) 18:57, 8 May 2008 (UTC)
- On the contrary. Their biographies describe them as public critics of the Iraq War from the beginning. Please stop removing them from this category, which is appropriate for them. — Malik Shabazz (talk · contribs) 19:01, 8 May 2008 (UTC)
Malik Shabazz
editIf you look down the Page on the Admin. Notice Board you'll see that he's trying current to get me banned for his own disruptions. Just look at about 2 items down the Joan Biaz complaint. I imagine it is appropriate for you to comment about your similar problem with him now, no? --Ludvikus (talk) 20:24, 8 May 2008 (UTC)

Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution. Bstone (talk) 18:08, 13 June 2008 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
