Use of New Template

I have created a template {{WikiProject Maryland/flag/animated}} using a commons image that could be used on the front page of the Maryland project. As you can see, I have configured it to fly behind the wiki-puzzle-world logo in the upper left portion of the screen. Don't get me wrong; I disagree with you on this particular matter, but I appreciate the work you're doing. There are only a few architects here, and the field is wide open for anybody that wants to improve the topic of architecture; it's woefully underrepresented. Please keep an eye out for proposed deletions; I've rescued a few buildings and architects from oblivion because they were only significant in the '50s, '60s and '70s, a neglected era on this wiki, proving the rule that nobody appreciates 30 or 40 year old buildings; it takes 50 or more years for buildings to become beloved local landmarks or "period detail." Ah, design juries. I learned a great deal of humility there, along with enough startling successes to keep me going. It's worse when you're going around a newly completed project that took three or four years of your life to design and build, and all anybody wants do is complain about the size/location/view/finish level of their office. Graphic Standards

For a little more / $34 / you could have Traditional Construction Patterns: Design and Detail Rules-of-Thumb [2] - - should be required reading for everyone involved in residential design, development or real estate today.--Teda13 (talk) 15:52, 2 September 2009 (UTC)

I do little residential work, but I see so much junk close at hand that irritates the hell out of me that I believe I'll spend the money: thank you, this looks worthwhile. I see so much new construction - some ostensibly reviewed by historic district commissions - with slapdash detailing and proportioning that could be done correctly at no greater cost than doing it wrong. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Since you provided a detailed fair-use rationale, I don't see the "lacking an FUR" deletion rationale as valid; maybe Fastily hit the wrong menu?
