Reverting Vandalism

edit

Hello, and thank you for removing vandalism from PlayStation 3 accessories. This is much appreciated, but unfortunately your repair was not successful in restoring the article to its pre-vandalised state. For future reference, it is better to deal with vandalism by checking the article's page history to determine how it appeared before it was vandalised. You can then restore the whole article, or the relevant part of it, to an appropriate earlier version. If you simply delete the visible vandalism then any content removed or overwritten by the vandal is lost. See How to deal with vandalism for details. Thank you. Question for Washington Post story on Virginia Earthquake/Mineral, Va. articles

edit

Dear Rm1271, I am a reporter at the Washington Post. I'm writing a story about how quickly Wiki articles went up related to the earthquake yesterday in Virginia. It's a moment to write about history being written in the moment, collectively, which is part of what Wikipedia is all about. I'm trying to reach some of the people who helped craft the 2011 Virginia Earthquake article and the Mineral, Va., article. It seems as though you weighed in. Can you contact me please? Thank you! Best, david montgomery, the washington post, 202-334-7224, [email protected] — Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.164.44.4 (talk) 18:04, 24 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

Your stupid warning

edit

I removed your stupid warning from my page because I didn't edit that dumb high school page and apparently no one else from this IP did either. I don't know who you meant to yell at, but it wasn't me. 128.61.116.205 (talk) 01:47, 11 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

If you didn't make that edit, I am sorry. To avoid situations such as this one in the future, I encourage you to create an account. I hope this does not discourage you from further contributing to Wikipedia and once again, my apologies. Rm1271 talk to me 02:20, 11 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

Rollback

edit

After reviewing your request for rollback, I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:

  • Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
  • Rollback can be used to revert vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
  • Rollback may be removed at any time.

If you do not want rollback, then contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some information on how to use rollback, you can view this page. I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, just leave me a message on my talk page if you have any questions. Happy editing! Malinaccier (talk) 21:59, 9 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

Vandalism

edit

Hi. I would just like to point out... i understand you enjoy or its your job to report/oversee vandalism's; however my edits to B&B character pages were constructive. You see, Soap pages shouldn't have clear info-boxes, and it is wrong that most of the B&B pages do, as it is used mainly for actors and actresses. I would like to change the overall color scheme to a Lavender color (as this used to be the color). So please, understand. Thanks. 58.170.184.40 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 03:02, 10 December 2011 (UTC).Reply

I would love to explain more on the colour-lessness. I have been editing these pages for well over a year, and they've been colourless for that time. There was a template that explained their colour, and it kept it colourless. Musicfreak7676 (talk) 03:23, 10 December 2011 (UTC)Reply
Thank you for clarifying that. Rm1271 talk to me 03:39, 10 December 2011 (UTC)Reply
Anytime. I mean, if the template kept them colourless, and have for years, I don't see the point in now placing colour, just because someone wants it that way. Musicfreak7676 (talk) 17:41, 10 December 2011 (UTC)Reply
Well if you have been editing this page for a year, you would know that the colorless info-box wasn't used last year (2010). The colorless info-box is usually used for actors and actresses. there should be a different colour to clarify the type of info-box. I have been also editing here and there (Taylor's page) since 2009 and the colorless info-boxes haven't been used that long. That is certainly not vandalism. 121.219.81.40 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 05:59, 11 December 2011 (UTC).Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Craigleith Ski Club

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Craigleith Ski Club requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Toddst1 (talk) 23:26, 26 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

I reverted your edit, because you added your signature to the page (probably by typing four tildes). You should only type that on talk pages. Feel free to make that edit again, just don't put your signature on the page. Rm1271 talkcontribs 17:55, 31 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

Not sure who did this... as this IP is... "used" by many but by all means suggest that it be blocked. It will improve wikipedia if this IP weren't allowed to edit at all. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.57.96.2 (talk) 20:56, 29 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

Yes, some IPs can be shared, so if you would like to stop receiving notices directed to other people who may be using the same IP then I recommend that you create an account. The IP probably will get blocked if it continues to vandalize. Thanks! Rm1271 talkcontribs 21:24, 29 February 2012 (UTC)Reply
