Being Constructive
So for the confusion, however I am being constructive. I'm deleting misinformation, someone or a number of people have gone on a lot of the free market/ Austrian economic related pages and are destroying them. They are modifying the information and just bashing them and putting untrue statements about how there "unscientific" theories. I didn't go on though the history yet, But I'm sure its a person on the far left political spectrum, because one of the pages they were talking about socialism. I'm not going on the communist wikipedia pages and destroying them, so I would expect them not destroying ours. I don't know now if your involved in this or not but I would appreciate if you would not contribute to this destruction. Good Article Recruitment Centre
Hello Rainbow Shifter! Thank-you for showing interest in wanting to learn how to review Good article nominations by asking to be recruited by one of our experts at the Recruitment Centre. I noticed that you placed your name in the waiting list on this page; you are only supposed to do this when none of our recruiters are available. Therefore, I have removed your name from the waiting list as what you really have to do is go ask any recruiter if they would like to recruit you. If you have any questions feel free to respond here (I am watching this page).--Dom497 (talk) 12:19, 20 June 2013 (UTC)
- Thank you for informing me of my mistake, I was a little confused and I guess I didn't read the instructions throughly enough. Again thank you. Rainbow Shifter (talk) 15:35, 20 June 2013 (UTC)
Comment
Hi. Re: Wikipedia talk:Ignore all rules#This is nonsense, that thread was only active from June 12-13, and hasn't been touched in a week. I'd suggest that your comment is likely to fan the flames back into action, which I'm guessing you don't want! Just a thought. –Quiddity (talk) 17:31, 20 June 2013 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for June 23
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Pet Hate, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages British and Heavy metal (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Articles you might like to edit, from SuggestBot
We are currently running a study on the effects of adding additional information to SuggestBot's suggestions. Participation in the study is voluntary. Should you wish to not participate in the study, or have questions or concerns, you can find contact information on the SuggestBot study page.
IMPORTANT CHANGES: We have modified the selection of articles SuggestBot suggests and altered the design to incorporate more information about the articles, as described in this explanation.
Note: All columns in this table are sortable, allowing you to rearrange the table so the articles most interesting to you are shown at the top. All images have mouse-over popups with more information.
Changes to SuggestBot's suggestions
We have changed the number of suggested articles and which categories they are selected from. The number of stubs has been greatly reduced, the number of articles needing sources doubled, and two new categories added (orphans and unencyclopaedic articles). We have also modified the layout of the suggestions and added sortable columns with various types of information about each article. The first two columns are:
- Views/Day
- Daily average number of views an article's had over the past 14 days.
- Quality
- Predicted article quality on a 1- to 3-star scale. Placing your cursor over the stars should give you a pop-up describing the article's quality (Low/Medium/High), current assessment class, and predicted assessment class.
The method we use to predict article quality also allows us to assess whether an article might need specific types of work in order to improve its quality. The work needed might not correspond to cleanup tags added to the article, since our method is not based on those. We have added five columns reflecting this work assessment, where a red X indicates improvement is needed. Placing your cursor over an X should give you a pop-up with a short description of the work needed. The five columns seek to answer the following five questions:
- Content
- Is more content needed?
- Headings
- Does this article have an appropriate section structure?
- Images
- Is the number of illustrative images about right?
- Links
- Does this article link to enough other Wikipedia articles?
- Sources
- For its length, is there an appropriate number of citations to sources in this article?
SuggestBot picks articles in a number of ways based on other articles you've edited, including straight text similarity, following wikilinks, and matching your editing patterns against those of other Wikipedians. It tries to recommend only articles that other Wikipedians have marked as needing work. We appreciate that you have signed up to receive suggestions regularly, your contributions make Wikipedia better — thanks for helping!

Edits to the sandbox
- Hi there Rainbow Shifter, sorry to take so long to respond (got sidetracked by RL issues). Very good job with the first several points. My only suggestion, for referencing, is to familiarise yourself with the {{cite}} family of templates (i.e. {{cite web}}, {{cite book}}, {{cite news}}, {{cite journal}}, etc.). These templates go in between ref tags, as with your earlier references. Each page I've linked to here has a blank template and an explanation of what each individual parameter does (there's a lot of overlap, so you only need to learn most parameters once). Once you are familiar with the use of the templates, or even as you're starting, you may find it easier to just copy and paste formatted templates from the edit source page and then change the parameters in accordance with what you want.
- Cheers! — Crisco 1492 (talk) 15:00, 12 July 2013 (UTC)
As you've worked on the main X and Y page to some degree, would you mind helping out on this one? It was created by an editor who is refusing to ackowledge that he copy-pasted everything from Serebii.net and I need help to keep the copyvios off.—Ryulong (琉竜) 19:31, 13 July 2013 (UTC)
- Of course I shall help. Rainbow Shifter (talk) 06:51, 14 July 2013 (UTC)
Feedback Request
Hello, I got your name from this list.
Would you please get involved in the article Hog-dog rodeo. As you can read at the following links, Link1 Link2 Hog-Dog Fighting, Hog-Baiting, Hog-Dog Rodeos, Hog dogging, hawg dawgin and hog dog "rodeos" are synonyms for the exact same activity. This article should be moved to "Hog-baiting", so it is inline with the naming convention of the other articles in its classification here. Wikipedia defines Dog baiting as follows:
- "setting game dogs against a chained or confined animal for sport. The dogs bite, and tear to subdue the opposing animal by incapacitating or killing it. Baiting is a blood sport used for entertainment and gambling."
This definition fits for Hog-Dog Rodeo, Hog-baiting, Hog-Dawging, or whatever name or idiom you want to call it. It is all the same activity. Please see the two citations I provided above for third-party confirmation. Just because some parts of the world do not call it illegal, does not mean is not Hog-baiting. It is all the same activity, it might be marketed and packaged differently, but it is still the same and fits into the definition of Dog-baiting. Currently, one editor Chrisrus does not like the term "Hog-baiting" and keeps reverting the article, even though I have provided strong third-party citations, he seems to be exerting article ownership and is not displaying a NPOV.
You can read our conversation on the article talk page and see the reverts of the article for the edited changes.
