Welcome and introduction
editHi, Nycfoto98. This is NOT some automated message...it's from a real person by golly! And this real person (that would be me), wants to say welcome to Wikipedia! I'm glad you've made an account! Thanks for joining; you're on your way to making some great contributions.
Because I've noticed you've just joined, I wanted to give you a few tips to get you started. If you have any questions, please talk to us. Any questions are fine, nothing is too silly (we've heard them all). Now, the tips below - hop on them - they should help you begin editing. Best of luck! JoeSmack Talk 23:32, 13 October 2009 (UTC)
Good luck with editing; please drop me a line some time on my own talk page. (You'll want to sign your name with these four tildes ~~~~ when you leave something on a talk page to help know who you are!) Once again, welcome to the fantastic world of Wikipedia! |
P.S. If you just feel like poking around, Wikipedia:Help is a good place to start. :)
Stop. Do not attempt to identify users by their real-life names. That is known as outing and is very inappropriate. Your post has been deleted; do not use real names again or you can be blocked. Try asking your questions with only the username on Wikipedia. Thank you,

We only included editor's public Wikipedia name. Real name, along with reference to location has been removed. Is that an outing?! Anyway, we removed all references to names and reposted the question.

- There doesn't appear to be any particular action required, does there? No damage is done to you by some editor who doesn't agree that your web site provides the best available information on various subjects. If it does, after all, provide the best available information, then editors interested in those subjects who aren't affiliated with your web site will restore links on those articles. -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 00:30, 14 October 2009 (UTC)
- Also, your new posting is fine. May I suggest that you try conversing with David Shankbone to ask him directly why he removed them. I believe this to be the best approach. He won't bite. :)

Your username
editUsernames that correspond to company names or websites are often blocked if they appear to be creating or editing articles about their company. You should probably read WP:USERNAME to get acquainted with the guidelines. That said, if you aren't creating or editing articles about your company, there should be no reason for anyone to block you or ask you to change your username. You may also want to read WP:USER for information about what you can and can't put on your userpage. Thanks. Delicious carbuncle (talk) 22:29, 14 October 2009 (UTC)
Your recent edits
editHello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 23:43, 14 October 2009 (UTC)
