Your Edits to Harry Potter articles
editThank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. While the Wikipedia community appreciates your obvious efforts to increase the amount of information on the site, we'd like to point out our policy against original research and for citing sources for the information you provide. This increases the reputation of Wikipedia as a whole and aids in checking the factuality of that article.

Page blanking
editPlease do not replace Wikipedia pages with blank content, as you did to Alby Grant. Blank pages are harmful to Wikipedia because they have a tendency to confuse readers. If it is a duplicate article, please redirect it to an appropriate existing page. If the page has been vandalised, please revert it to the last legitimate version. If you feel that the content of a page is inappropriate, please edit the page and replace it with appropriate content. If you believe there is no hope for the page, please see the deletion policy for how to proceed. —Wknight94 (talk) 04:48, 16 December 2006 (UTC)
- You can go ahead and do a rewrite but please do it in place. It's not customary for us to delete articles simply because the original author no longer likes it. Thanks. —Wknight94 (talk) 01:03, 18 December 2006 (UTC)
A Patriot's History
editLooking through Wikipedia to see what it had regarding Larry Schweikart and Michael Allen, I found little. One thing I did find, however, was an article for which you are almost entirely responsible that cites A Patriot's History. I'm curious as to whu you chose that particular text for your citation. Do you like the book? JStripes (talk) 20:00, 27 November 2007 (UTC)

editI have nominated AR2 (TV Series), an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/AR2 (TV Series). License tagging for File:Drazen.jpg
editThanks for uploading File:Drazen.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.
For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 01:05, 19 December 2008 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Homosexuals Anonymous
editA proposed deletion template has been added to the article Homosexuals Anonymous, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:
- Articloe currently does not indicate any Notability - specfically claim it is a "Relatively small program". Also reads like an advert due to the inclusions of Non NPOV steps currently counting for 2/3th of the content of the article.
All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Speedy deletion nomination of Homosexuals Anonymous
editA tag has been placed on Homosexuals Anonymous requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company or corporation, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for companies and corporations.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. RadioFan (talk) 12:41, 29 May 2009 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Warren Boyd.jpg
editA tag has been placed on File:Warren Boyd.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}

File copyright problem with File:Warren Boyd.jpg
editThank you for uploading File:Warren Boyd.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. Keith Olbermann
editLong-fought consensus on the Keith Olbermann page is to not include any personal interpretation of his political leanings unless he declares as such. Since Olbermann has denied being a liberal, consensus is against using original research to define him.
This is the same policy in effect on other pages such as Sean Hannity, in which he is described as a conservative (his self-designation) and not a neo-con. If you disagree, please open up a discussion on the talk page and try and change the consensus. Thanks! Dayewalker (talk) 04:32, 10 July 2009 (UTC)

AfD nomination of Nikki McKibbin
editAn editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Nikki McKibbin. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").
Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Nikki McKibbin. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.
Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 02:09, 29 July 2009 (UTC)
Freddy Krueger
editWelcome to Wikipedia. We welcome and appreciate your contributions, including your edits to Freddy Krueger, but we cannot accept original research. - Please stop. If you continue to violate Wikipedia's no original research policy by adding your personal analysis or synthesis into articles, as you did to Freddy Krueger, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. BIGNOLE (Contact me) 23:07, 3 October 2009 (UTC)
- Your original edit, which compared FvJ to Soviet censorship, was original research. That comparison is not explicit in the film itself, it is your own personal observation. To include it in the article, you need to find a reliable source which discusses the similarity. When I reverted your edit, with an edit summary explaining why, you refused to discuss the issue and began edit warring. When myself and Bignole continued to revert you, you made abusive comments toward Bignole on the article talk page. Your behaviour has been uncivil and unconstructive; either discuss the issue politely on the article talk page, or accept that your edits were unsuitable. Paul 730 00:17, 4 October 2009 (UTC)
- I'm sorry, but I do not take threats idly. I disagree that any of my comments were "abusive", they were simply constructive criticisms, not character flaws. You and your friend decided that my edits were "original research" and I disagreed, which I have the right to do. I do have rights on Wikipedia. Something is obviously on your mind, something is making you so mad, something that is not me, perhaps it is the loss of your empire. - Mdriver1981 (talk) 01:20, 6 October 2009 (UTC)

Unreferenced BLPs
editHello Mdriver1981! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 2 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 6 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:
- Gérard Watkins - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL
- Warren Eckstein - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Fair use rationale for File:Olly_3.jpg
editThanks for uploading or contributing to File:Olly_3.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Melesse (talk) 12:08, 26 February 2010 (UTC)

editPlease do not add original research to articles, such as this edit of yours to Sober House. Original research refers to material obtained through personal knowledge, or unpublished syntheses of previously published material, rather than material that is supported by reliable, verifiable sources. Frasier episodes to consider creating
editI have been spending a lot of time lately creating and modifying templates for critically acclaimed episode articles. You have already created "The Two Mrs. Cranes (Frasier episode)" and "Space Quest (Frasier)". It has come to my attention that two of the most critically acclaimed episodes in television history are Frasier episodes entitled "The Matchmaker (Frasier)" and "Merry Christmas, Mrs. Moskowitz that need to be created. They both appear on {{WritersGuildofAmericaEpisodicComedyScreenplay 1995–2009}}. The former apperas on {{EmmyAward ComedyDirector 1976–2000}}, while the latter appears on {{EmmyAward ComedyWriting 1976–2000}}. You may also note several other critically acclaimed Frasier episodes at Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series, Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series, Writers Guild of America Award for Best Screenplay - Episodic Comedy and Directors Guild of America Award for Outstanding Directing – Comedy Series that were either nominees or winners. You may want to consider creating some of those as well.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 23:11, 20 February 2012 (UTC)

Participants on all reality shows are prearranged, and involve staging that they do not disclose, as this is not unique to Pawn Stars This is already mentioned in that section, and supported by a cited source, and does not require additional comment that clearly conveys an argumentative tone.
Also, the word discourse is a mass noun, not a count noun. Nightscream (talk) 00:20, 5 April 2013 (UTC)

editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited International Guerillas, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Casinos (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Divergent (novel)- Dystopian
editIn author Veronica Roth's blog, it is stated that the Chicago in which Divergent novel takes place is Dystopian here and here and also all the notable sources stated it as Dystopian http://www.amazon.com/Divergent-Veronica-Roth/dp/0062024035, http://www.vulture.com/2013/10/divergent-author-veronica-roth-builds-empire.html, http://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/divergent-veronica-roth/1026903257?ean=9780062077011, http://www.huffingtonpost.com/uloop/divergent-the-rising-craz_b_3815023.html.--Jockzain (talk) 10:17, 15 November 2013 (UTC)
- You are welcome. I myself don't know, why there are no utopian novels and trust me it amazes me too. But I can tell you that in Divergent you can clearly sense that yes the technology is advanced but still the Chicago in which factions are living appears dysoptian.
- P.S Next time please put your message on my talk page instead of user page. Thanks--Jockzain (talk) 10:07, 20 November 2013 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Brian Amyot
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Brian Amyot requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. The article Gérard Watkins has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.
If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Zebuready (talk) 20:02, 15 April 2020 (UTC)

There are also specific guidelines for films, musicals, television episodes, anime/manga, novels and non-fiction books. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. DonIago (talk) 13:07, 28 September 2020 (UTC)
