Welcome!

Hello, Mario Bemer, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you edited was Stefano Bemer, which appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.

To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or another editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)

In addition, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for any contribution you make, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation to comply with our terms of use and our policy on paid editing.

Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! shoy (reactions) 16:41, 14 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

  Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Stefano Bemer. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. Alexf(talk) 11:10, 20 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

I edited my brothers page and am not in any conflict. The brand name "Stefano Bemer" has a link to a business by someone who was in no way associated with my brother or myself. I am simply adding to his story by stating that I am carrying on our shoemaking philosophy. Mario Bemer (talk) 18:53, 21 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

My contribution was removed because of a conflict of interest. How is the mention of Tommaso Melani not a conflict of interest ? Mario Bemer (talk) 18:55, 21 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

  You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Stefano Bemer; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. creffett (talk) 23:36, 21 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

Let me put this clearly: you're repeatedly re-adding content which clearly promotes you and does not have a reliable source. You have been reverted by multiple editors. If you do it again, you're likely to get blocked. creffett (talk) 23:38, 21 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 1 week for edit warring, as you did at Stefano Bemer. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Bbb23 (talk) 15:42, 23 November 2019 (UTC)Reply
