Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button (  or  ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Your recent editing history at Avijit Roy shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you get reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. MarnetteD|Talk 16:37, 11 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

Anti Terrorism Raju Memorial Sculpture

edit

By policy, proposed deletion may only be used against an article a single time. Anti Terrorism Raju Memorial Sculpture was proposed for deletion on 2015-05-21 by DGG and was deproded on 2015-05-26 by Christian75. So it may not be proposed for deletion again. It may only be deleted if it satisfies one of the criteria for speedy deletion, or through a deletion discussion. You started the latter process on 2015-10-06, but did not complete it, so the discussion was closed with no action.

A more productive approach to this article would be to merge it with University of Dhaka, where the well sourced paragraph about the sculpture could become a new "Public art" subsection of "Campus". A full-content paste merger could be performed boldly, by following the steps at WP:PROMERGE. Worldbruce (talk) 18:51, 20 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Wikipedia:Reference desk/Archives/Humanities/2015 October 19. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted or removed.

  • If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor then please discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page. Alternatively you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant notice boards.
  • If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, please seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive, until the dispute is resolved through consensus. Continuing to edit disruptively could result in loss of editing privileges. Editing an archive file in order to ping other editors is considered disruptive. Before you created Category:Pages containing Anatomical terms, you clearly did not check for existing categories on that topic, such as Category:Anatomy and its many subcategories. Given your history of disruptive edits, we are not inclined to take your bad edits as mistakes—and continued disruption will get you blocked for ever-longer stretches. Hi MRS - I don't care who you are or how you write. Just try to give references when you reply to questions at the ref desk, and don't try to stir up trouble with other users. Some people don't like to be pinged, while others appreciate it. The archives are usually not edited, but it is OK to do so if you have a good reason, like a new ref or something. If you want to talk to another user about an old question, you can also post at their talk page, though some of them may not want to discuss. Good luck :) SemanticMantis (talk) 23:27, 4 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

contrary to what the admins who blocked me thinks, this person does not have competency issues regarding the use of english language, which is evidenced by the contrib log of user in article space, as in, every edits made to wikipedia articles. other than the problem regarding cite book syntax usage in avijit roy page, other edits were CONTRARY to the signs of "broken english". but the problem actually started when after adding a new reply on an old question on refdesk archive, i the user was accused of being a sockpuppet of an unrelated person and was actually threatened that i will be mislabeled as that sock user. after posting this at WP:ANI with hopes that the admins in noticeboard will actually look into my contrib log and realize that the claims of incompetence are untrue and that my use of terse talk is only in specific areas where it is not of detrimental risk to wikipedia, example: talk page, refdesk. instead one admin blocked me saying that blocking me indefinitely thinking i am incompetent is "good faith" and that i should be happy because that admin did not assume bad faith, which according to that admin is "trolling". then i decide to post unblock requests in talk page, where i decided to directly link to my edits in article space, showing the number of characters, syntaxes added as well as my usage of semantics, in an effort to prove my "brokenness(!)" of language. this is a summary of the incident in my POV. for more neutral analysis, i am putting the related links https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:Reference_desk/Archive_119#Editing_the_archives https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Administrators%27_noticeboard/IncidentArchive903#not_know_how_describe https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/Mahfuzur_rahman_shourov

I've looked through your contributions, and what I feel is the issue here are three things:

  3. Mobile device editing

Unblock Requests

edit

I am not an administrator, and cannot respond to your unblock requests. However, I would very strongly advise you that your next unblock request be one or two sentences in good syntactical and grammatical English. You have been blocked for two reasons. First, some of your edits were just generally disruptive, such as pinging other editors by editing an archive. However, second, this is the English Wikipedia, and you don't seem to be able to edit in English. If you want to be unblocked, please demonstrate that you can edit in English. Otherwise your talk page may also be blocked. Robert McClenon (talk) 18:23, 7 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

Question

edit

Let me get this straight; in the declined unblock request on November 7th from Anthony Bradbury, he requests that you "...Please demonstrate, in your next unblock request, if you make one, that you are both willing and able to construct a complete, meaningful sentence in English. Further terse requests will only reinforce our opinion that competence is an issue here." You decided that it was a good idea to respond with "contrib very relevant, show english ability. if unblock, user try avoid articlespace, only ask que refdesk, user curious, why post ques ref"? Now I'm wondering if you are just trolling us. Abbreviating words or missing some punctuation/capitalization here and there isn't a big deal, but flooding ref desks with caveman-speak questions [3] [4] [5] [6] is disruptive. (Most of these questions could be resolved much more quickly and easily with a simple Google search). Yes, it is more challenging to type on a mobile device, but if you can't be bothered to try a little harder, I see little point in unblocking you. OhNoitsJamie Talk 19:41, 24 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

Addendum: having just read this old ANI thread, now I'm nearly certain you are just wasting our time. Suggesting that talk page access be re-revoked and WP:DENY be resumed for this. OhNoitsJamie Talk 19:55, 24 November 2015 (UTC)Reply
