Talk:Jaberm/Archive1

edit

A tag has been placed on Talk:Jaberm/Archive1, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a redirect to a user page from the main/article space.

If you can fix the redirect to point to a regular Wikipedia article rather than a user page, please do so and remove the speedy deletion tag. However, please do not remove the speedy deletion tag unless you are fixing the redirect. If you think the redirect should be retained as is for some reason, you can request that administrators wait a while before deleting it. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and state your reasoning on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. ...... Articles for deletion nomination of AlWasl Club

edit

I have nominated AlWasl Club, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/AlWasl Club. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. Gordonrox24 | Talk 15:46, 27 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hey, Right now the article is being discussed. I can't delete it, so it is up to the community to decide what to do with it. You can always give your reasoning Here--Gordonrox24 | Talk 15:58, 27 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
Ok, then you need to write that at the discussion--Gordonrox24 | Talk 16:08, 27 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Your recent edits

edit

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button   located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Proposed deletion of List of AlWasl football transfers 2008 2009

edit

The article List of AlWasl football transfers 2008 2009 has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Transfer lists of single clubs for a single season are not considered notable. Options to prevent deletion would be converting the article into a full club season article similar to Arsenal F.C. season 2008–09 or converting to a list including all transfers involving at least one team of the UAE League 2008–09.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Unreferenced BLPs

edit

Hello Jaberm! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 3 of the articles that you created are Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. Please note that all biographies of living persons must be sourced. If you were to add reliable, secondary sources to these articles, it would greatly help us with the current 9 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:

  1. Yousif Hassan - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL
  2. Waleed Murad - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Orphaned non-free media (File:Sama_ECH_Logo.png)

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Sama_ECH_Logo.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Melesse (talk) 01:49, 2 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

License tagging for File:70 maher.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:70 maher.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 11:06, 25 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

File permission problem with File:70 maher.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:70 maher.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. 72.90.75.169 (talk) 02:03, 29 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

global block — I am an active editor on UAE Sports Pages. Please don't punish me for things done by others!

Decline reason:

Clearing an autoblock

Due to the nature of the block applied we need additional information before we can decide whether to unblock you. It is very likely that you are not personally blocked. If you are prevented from editing, it may be because you are autoblocked or blocked because of your IP address. Without further details there is nothing further we can do to review or lift your block. Please follow these instructions:

  1. If you have a Wikipedia account, please ensure that you are logged in.
Your account name will be visible in the top right of this page if you are.
If it isn't, try bypassing your web browser's cache.
  2. Try to edit the Sandbox.
  3. If you are still blocked, copy the {{unblock-auto|...}} code generated for you under the "IP blocked?" section. This is usually hidden within the "What do I do now?" section. If so, just click the "[show]" link to the right hand side to show this text.
  4. Paste the code at the bottom of your user talk page and click save.

If you are not blocked from editing the sandbox then the autoblock on your IP address has already expired and you can resume editing. Closedmouth (talk) 04:33, 28 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

global block — This is the Country's IP Address. The ISPs in the UAE use proxy servers for all users. We have no other options to access the Internet!

Decline reason:

User seems to have been able to edit subsequent to posting this; so he has either found a way to bypass the block or it has expired. In any event, even if he hadn't, I'd decline this for the lack of a response to the queries below. — Daniel Case (talk) 12:52, 31 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

To answer:

a) I don't see any autoblocks on your account.
b) I don't see any global blocks that have been initiated since your most recent edit. The most recent global block was at 17:55 UTC: Special:GlobalBlockList. Your most recent edit was at 19:28 UTC: [1].
c) Special:BlockList does have a range block being initiated between your last edit and your unblock request, but it was for a European country, not for UAE, and anonymous only [2].

Have you tried bypassing your cache? Could you at least give us a hint as to your IP? Magog the Ogre (talk) 20:02, 28 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

You need to copy the text that is shown when you try to edit. That will give us the information to examine the block log.  Ronhjones  (Talk) 23:19, 28 March 2011 (UTC)Reply
If it's a large global block that we cannot revert then you will have to ask for WP:IPBE  Ronhjones  (Talk) 23:22, 28 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Question

edit

Hi, I see that you're editing articles related to Al Wasl FC club. I've got a question for you, did Felix Ogbuke played for Al Wasl or it's an incorrect information? And if yes in which years?--Oleola (talk) 22:07, 8 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

I have never heard of the name. I can't recognize the face. I couldn't find any sources mentioning his name with Al Wasl FC online neither. Not even in Arabic Newspapers. And since he was 18 years old in 2003, then it probably is false. He never played for Al Wasl. --Jaberm (talk) 12:53, 14 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

edit

Hi. When you recently edited 2011–12 Al Wasl FC season, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Muscat (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
