Hello, you just tagged a page I added for speedy deletion. I would like to contest and ask that you reconsider. I did accidentally create a first page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Humbertovalle (which should be deleted) I only did recreate it to show the space in the person's name. I am new and decided to create a page after searching for Jerry Colangelo and grand canyon alumni... found some articles on unthink and there is also a social web that doesn't seem to running but also not created by the same person or group, so it seems this term should be credited appropriately. anyway, thank you for your help. — Preceding unsigned comment added by CruzSandoval (talk • contribs) 16:11, 23 March 2015 (UTC)
- The page I tagged for speedy deletion was Humbertovalle, which has been deleted, so that seems to be in line with what you want. If you have a problem with why Humberto Valle was deleted, you should contact User:CactusWriter, who deleted it. Everymorning talk 19:13, 23 March 2015 (UTC)
E-cigs
Have you found any new sources? QuackGuru (talk) 04:55, 21 March 2015 (UTC)
- No, not as of right now. The thing about the e-cigarette articles is that they tend to be updated very quickly when a new review is published, so it seems like everything that meets MEDRS and could be in the e-cig article is in there already as far as sources are concerned. Everymorning talk 05:02, 21 March 2015 (UTC)
- I fixed the wording for the Cochrane review in my sandbox. The current wording in the lede and body is original research because the source indicates it is "limited evidence". There are at least

Using Google Scholar to get records for a specific author
Hi. I noticed that you tagged Nicklas B. Failla for speedy deletion as a non-notable academic. You cited a link to here using Google Scholar to list the author's publications and citations, even calculating the h-index. This is wonderful and I want to use that facility more generally! But with lots of experimentation, and even reading the Help, I can't work out how to get the record for a particular person. For instance, I tried Nobel winner Brian Schmidt but the search cannot find him (it did find three other people with the same name, but not the astro-physicist I wanted). I tried a few other Nobel laureates such as Saul Perlmutter and Douglas Osheroff, also without success. Are there secret instructions for how to find the records for a specific person, such as Brian Schmidt? Or can you suggest other hints to find this information? --Gronk Oz (talk) 08:47, 26 March 2015 (UTC)

Your RfA
Hello Everymorning. It seems the RfA isn't running that well. At the moment there's little chance of success, you would need another 50 support votes to get near the appproval range. On the other side, people are already wary to "pile on" votes. Also, the last questions seem not to give any new feedback which would be valuable for your future editing, or another attempt at RfA later on. Under these circumstances, would you consider to withdraw your candidature? [This is a standard courtesy offer.] (Please answer here, I'll watchlist it.) Kraxler (talk) 15:27, 7 April 2015 (UTC)
Offer for Mentorship
Hi Everymorning,
After going through your latest RfA, I am willing to offer you a mentorship. To accept, you have to promise to have a desire to learn and have that little extra patience. Patience, in the sense you are willing to wait for me to write up your next RfA nomination when I feel you are ready. There is no fixed timeline for that. I was once as eager as you are, but I find that the journey to adminship is a lot more meaningful than the feeling of getting the mop. There is an awful lot to learn on Wikipedia, and it's a lot more complex now than what I had when I first started out. I will make sure you are well-rounded and competent as an editor. I don't offer mentorships lightly, and you can take a look at my record here.
Sounds good to you? - Mailer Diablo 17:57, 7 April 2015 (UTC)
P.S. There is no rush for you to decide what to do with your current RfA. You can decide to gather additional feedback from fellow editors or to withdraw early, the choice is yours. - Mailer Diablo 17:59, 7 April 2015 (UTC)
- I accept the offer. Everymorning talk 18:37, 7 April 2015 (UTC)

- Great. Relax. Let's get started. :) - Mailer Diablo 20:44, 7 April 2015 (UTC)
- When sorting AfDs, keep a lookout for certain keywords (e.g. "deleted already") that may suggest that the article is eligible for speedy deletion. In such instances, run a check through the deletion log. I've just deleted Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Pouya Sarai. - Mailer Diablo 23:31, 7 April 2015 (UTC)

I believe my Article was notable enough this time
I believe my Article was notable enough this time however it is deleted without giving me any satisfactory explanation. The procedure i have followed: Make draft, join chat and spend 1 day to editor and compose excellent article based on suggestion and edits by experts at the chat, submit draft, draft accepted, draft reviewed and edited by WikiProject_Video_games editor and completely published. Then i ask chat again about isn’t this too much edit? then primefac opens speedy delete then it is deleted without giving me any explanation. If you check the issue i appreciate ty very much : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MonsterMMORPG . And there were not any discussion it was deleted immediately.
- The key issue is whether the version you created most recently was substantially identical to the version deleted three years ago. If you found a lot of reliable sources not taken into account at the AFD then it should not have been speedied. Also, it appears that the user who accepted the draft has a lot of problems with accepting drafts that shouldn't have been accepted. Everymorning talk 12:15, 11 April 2015 (UTC) User:Everymorning I added a lot of new references. I don't know can you check them or not. Please check them and let me know. You are right not it should not have been speedied however it is that is why i am writing. I am looking for justice.
- I don't know what the new references are (or what the old references were) so I can't tell if it should have been speedied or not. You'd be better off asking an admin about this. Everymorning talk 12:46, 11 April 2015 (UTC)

Kurt E. Koch, rough translation
Hello! I'm Czarverve (talk)Czarverve and I'm new at editing/creating articles. Other than a rough translation (indeed, the original article is in Deutch), is there anything else that the article is lacking which could lead it to a deletation? — Preceding undated comment added 18:07, 22 April 2015 (UTC)
- You might want to add some links to reliable sources and make sure they are formatted correctly. Other than that and the translation, the article seems fine. Everymorning talk 18:09, 22 April 2015 (UTC)
I'm confused
You removed the PROD from Iya Hokshi, claiming that this reference verifies this legend. I don't find any mention of that legend in the source you provided. Is it spelled differently in the source? WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 23:15, 22 April 2015 (UTC)
- The thing with this legend appears to be that although it was created under the title "Iya Hokshi", it is best known as "Stone Boy". So although the words "Iya Hokshi" aren't mentioned in that source, it's clearly the same story, as is evident from the mentioning of a woman swallowing a pebble and then giving birth to a child in both the Wikipedia article and the book. If the Wikipedia page is kept it should probably be moved to "Stone B oy (Sioux mythology)" or something. Everymorning talk 23:21, 22 April 2015 (UTC)
- I've added another source that uses words similar to but not identical to the title of the WP page. I hope that is enough to establish that this really exists. Everymorning talk 23:25, 22 April 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks for the clarification. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 11:05, 23 April 2015 (UTC)

Alleged murder is notable, just as Presumptive nominee is (and not redirected to candidate). So, for now, the redirect is withdrawn. Dharahara (talk) 23:54, 26 April 2015 (UTC)
- I'm not so sure. I see that presumptive nominee is up for deletion, and it seems to me that "alleged murder" is not notable independently of the concept of murder. Most reliable source coverage is just about people who were accused of murder rather than the concept, and IMO there's not much that could be discussed in an article about alleged murder that couldn't be discussed in murder. Everymorning talk 23:58, 26 April 2015 (UTC)
- No it isn't, this article has been made solely to make a WP:POINT about a police-related murder in Pakistan. But I'm going to go through the process anyway. Joseph2302 (talk) 23:59, 26 April 2015 (UTC)

Hello Everymorning. Thanks for patrolling new pages – it's a very important task! I'm just letting you know, however, that you shouldn't tag pages as lacking context (CSD A1), or content (CSD A3), moments after they are created. It's best to wait at least 10–15 minutes for more content to be added if the page is very short, and the articles should not be marked as patrolled. Tagging such pages in a very short space of time may drive away well-meaning contributors, which is not good for Wikipedia. Attack pages (G10), blatant nonsense (G1), copyright violations (G12) and pure vandalism/blatant hoaxes (G3) should of course be tagged and deleted immediately. Thanks.Adam9007 (talk) 01:28, 9 June 2015 (UTC)

Bots
You are receiving this message because a technical change may affect a bot, gadget, or user script you have been using. The breaking change involves API calls. This change has been planned for two years. The WMF will start making this change on 30 June 2015. A partial list of affected bots can be seen here: https://lists.wikimedia.org/pipermail/wikitech-l/2015-June/081931.html This includes all bots that are using pywikibot compat. Some of these bots have already been fixed. However, if you write user scripts or operate a bot that uses the API, then you should check your code, to make sure that it will not break.
What, exactly, is breaking? The "default continuation mode" for action=query requests to api.php will be changing to be easier for new coders to use correctly. To find out whether your script or bot may be affected, then search the source code (including any frameworks or libraries) for the string "query-continue". If that is not present, then the script or bot is not affected. In a few cases, the code will be present but not used. In that case, the script or bot will continue working.
This change will be part of 1.26wmf12. It will be deployed to test wikis (including mediawiki.org) on 30 June, to non-Wikipedias (such as Wiktionary) on 1 July, and to all Wikipedias on 2 July 2015.
If your bot or script is receiving the warning about this upcoming change (as seen at https://www.mediawiki.org/w/api.php?action=query&list=allpages ), it's time to fix your code!
- The simple solution is to simply include the "rawcontinue" parameter with your request to continue receiving the raw continuation data (example <https://www.mediawiki.org/w/api.php?action=query&list=allpages&rawcontinue=1>). No other code changes should be necessary.
- Or you could update your code to use the simplified continuation documented at https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/API:Query#Continuing_queries (example <https://www.mediawiki.org/w/api.php?action=query&list=allpages&continue=>), which is much easier for clients to implement correctly.
Either of the above solutions may be tested immediately, you'll know it works because you stop seeing the warning.
Do you need help with your own bot or script? Ask questions in e-mail on the mediawiki-api or wikitech-l mailing lists. Volunteers at m:Tech or w:en:WP:Village pump (technical) or w:en:Wikipedia:Bot owners' noticeboard may also be able to help you.
Are you using someone else's gadgets or user scripts? Most scripts are not affected. To find out if a script you use needs to be updated, then post a note at the discussion page for the gadget or the talk page of the user who originally made the script. - Maybe you should let your fellow Wiki-Atlantans on that page know about when you'll be getting back in town, so they can see if it's possible to schedule the local Wiknic to include everyone.--Pharos (talk) 20:54, 17 June 2015 (UTC)

June 2015
Hello. Regarding the recent revert you made to Owned: you may already know about them, but you might find Wikipedia:Template messages/User talk namespace useful. After a revert, these can be placed on the user's talk page to let them know you considered their edit inappropriate, and also direct new users towards the sandbox. They can also be used to give a stern warning to a vandal when they've been previously warned. I was talking about User talk:98.175.230.2. Although this is something from May I still wanted to let you know. Fazbear7891 (talk) 05:54, 28 June 2015 (UTC)
