Torture

edit

Please note that I have reverted your additions to the page, for a couple of reasons.

  1. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia. It is not a place to advocate for a specific point of view.
  2. You added a significant number of unsourced information. Per WP:PROVEIT, unsourced information may be freely removed from the page without reason beyond 'unsourced'. Information on the page should be verified through reliable sources. Answers.com is not considered a reliable source, as it itself is assembled from sources like wikipedia, which is not itself a reliable source.
  3. You have added a significant number of redlinks. These links are not a good idea to add to pages.
  4. There is an excessive amount of unsourced details and speculation, giving the appearance of original research.
  5. Your revert summary and account name give the appearance that you are attempting to proclaim the truth. Wikipedia reports verifiability, not truth.

Please familiarize yourself with these policies. If you feel that you are unable to comply these policies, you may consider another on-line venue to discuss and contribute your views. WLU (talk) 23:31, 18 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Please note that pages should be created only about notable topics. Aand again, wikipedia is not the place to advocate, reveal the truth, or have an opinion. Note that there's a thread started about you on the administrator's noticeboard. WLU (talk) 23:43, 18 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

March 2008

edit

Please remember to mark your edits, such as your recent edits to Discomfort Torture, as minor if (and only if) they genuinely are minor edits (see Help:Minor edit). Marking a major change as a minor one is considered poor etiquette. The rule of thumb is that only an edit that consists solely of spelling corrections, formatting changes, or rearranging of text without modifying content should be flagged as a 'minor edit.' Thank you. Fléêťflämẽ U-T-C 23:54, 18 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

AfD nomination of Torture Methods and Devices

edit

I have nominated Torture Methods and Devices, an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Torture Methods and Devices. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. ukexpat (talk) 01:38, 19 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Stop

edit

Please stop. Your articles all count as original research since you give no supporting references. -- RHaworth (Talk | contribs) 02:32, 19 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Mainspace and talk pages

edit

Hi,

There is a difference between mainspace, the wikipedia pages with the information, and talk pages, where we discuss changes to mainspace. You posted a section from mainspace on a talk page, with no accompanying message. I don't know if you are trying to make a point, or misunderstanding the use of talk pages, but I have reverted. If you are trying to work on a section, consider using a sub page to draft and modify new articles or large section revisions. Other editors can be solicited for comments if you desire them.
