Feel free to post messages to me here. I'm still new, I have very little idea how this works.
Welcome!
Hello, Hobbes000, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- Help pages

- How to write a great article
- Manual of Style
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}}
on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome! Jayjg (talk) 19:46, 23 August 2005 (UTC)
Editing Talk: pages
editEvery article page has a "discussion" or "Talk:" page associated with it. Click on the "discussion" tab at the top of the article, and you can now edit the area reserved for discussion of article contents. Jayjg (talk) 19:46, 23 August 2005 (UTC)
Bringing vandalism to attention
editYou can bring vandalism to attention at the Wikipedia:Vandalism in progress page, and get the attention of Administrators at WP:AN/I. Jayjg (talk) 19:57, 23 August 2005 (UTC)
Oh, and glad to see you got yourself a userid. Jayjg (talk) 19:58, 23 August 2005 (UTC)
No, no, that's not vandalism! That's a disagreement over article content. You need to work those out on the article Talk: pages, like I said above. Jayjg (talk) 20:28, 23 August 2005 (UTC)
Again, welcome to Wikipedia. As a new user, you are expected to make mistakes, so don't worry too much about this one. I have posted a note on the vandalism page to explain the source of this problem. It would be a good idea to review some of the materials on the Community Portal (there is a lot of info there) to familiarize yourself with how things work here. I hope that you enjoy your time on Wikipedia. Regards, Ground Zero 20:33, 23 August 2005 (UTC)
I see you've listed yourself there. Try User:Redwolf24/Bootcamp. I see someone's welcomed you so there's no need for me to give a full welcome. But I made that bootcamp two days ago and waiting for someone to try it :) I am a friendly Admin and I'm willing to answer questions. Redwolf24 23:32, 23 August 2005 (UTC)
Welcome to Wikipedia, Hobbes000! If there's any specific question I can answer for you, I'd be happy to. (Just leave me a note by clicking the "A note?" link in my sig and editing that page). If you ever have questions/comments/suggestions, don't hesistate to ask me or the help desk. Once again, welcome! Flcelloguy | A note? | Desk 00:17, 24 August 2005 (UTC)
Greetings
editJust wanted to comment that for a self-proclaimed "clueless newbie" you're not doing too badly; welcome to Wikipedia, and nice work so far. I've placed a notice on the administrators' noticeboard about the Canada Free Press/Judi McLeod articles. The noticeboard is a forum to bring items to administrators' attention, but anyone may post there, so if you have anything to add, you're welcome to. Judi McLeod, Wikipedia and Freemason accusations
editAre you still with us? If so, please join us on the Kofi Annan discussion page.[1] Judi McLeod has accused us of removing information from the relevant page. --Cyberboomer 20:24, 10 February 2006 (UTC)
