Disambiguation link notification for September 12
editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Psycho Bunny, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page BBRC. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Comment from May 2024
editDear Hans, This is regarding edit "1223024323 by HansVonStuttgart" on the topic "futile cycles". The added references are from the two most relevant and prestigious journals in the field of metabolism (Nature Metabolism and Cell Metabolism) by established authors from ETH Zurich. These references are also most relevant content on this topic and thus must be kept on wiki page for easy access to most relevant and authentic content to the general user. Please stop removing due citations without valid reasons. Cheers! 195.176.119.94 (talk) 08:46, 14 May 2024 (UTC)
- Accordingly, Zürich is where your IP geolocates to. Wikipedia is not for advertising - see WP:NOT and WP:REFSPAM. HansVonStuttgart (talk) 11:08, 14 May 2024 (UTC)
- Are you for real? How do you conclude its advertising? Lets presume I authored these articles, are they irrelevant? Are they given undue credit? Are they published in fishy journals? Are they not genuine? Do you even understand the concept of futile cycles? Why don't you raise it to Wiki to let them decide if it is relevant?
- Anyway, I am not going to revert to childish edit. Let it be. 195.176.119.94 (talk) 11:18, 14 May 2024 (UTC)
- References are there to serve the text, they are not added "just because". HansVonStuttgart (talk) 11:19, 14 May 2024 (UTC)
- What do you mean by just because? Did you even open those refs? They introduce basics of Futile cycles and are published in most prestegious journals post peer-review. 195.176.119.94 (talk) 11:21, 14 May 2024 (UTC)
- The first statement is : A futile cycle, also known as a substrate cycle, occurs when two metabolic pathways run simultaneously in opposite directions and have no overall effect other than to dissipate energy in the form of heat. And these two citations strengthen that and elaborate on the concept. It is not Just Because.... 195.176.119.94 (talk) 11:22, 14 May 2024 (UTC)
- Also, probably you should re-visit the concept of citation spam.
- Here you see:
- Citation spamming is the illegitimate or improper use of citations, footnotes, or references. Citation spamming is a form of search engine optimization or promotion that typically involves the repeated insertion of a particular citation or reference in multiple articles by a single contributor. Often these are added not to verify article content, but rather to populate numerous articles with a particular citation.
- Neither is the case here. 195.176.119.94 (talk) 11:32, 14 May 2024 (UTC)
- References are there to serve the text, they are not added "just because". HansVonStuttgart (talk) 11:19, 14 May 2024 (UTC)
